I had this strange request coming to me yesterday:
Q: I am looking for a VK with max damage over 220 and speed 1.7. Do you sell any?
(I guess it is possible to make such a VK with a good Nightsister motor, but he was not saying anything about nightsisters... With a nym motor you would still need a double slice, so I guess he was looking for such a VK)
A: No, I am sorry. I don't sell illegal weapons
Q: Do you know anyone who does?
(Yes, I know a lot of exploiters in the game and I am really happy that they do it, so happy that I will gladly refer anyone who wants to buy weapons to them since they really deserve to make millions with their unfairness. Ahem, what am I thinking...)
A: No, I don't. And even if I did I wouldn't support them by telling you.
A liked the silence after that.

I get this one al lthe time:

[Guildmate] Can you repair my (insert weapon here)?
[Sami-jx] Sure, come to my house.
[Guildmate] Where's that?

* Time elapeses*
[Guildmte]Here's my weapon.
[Sami-jx] Ummm...this doesn't need repaired.
[Guildmate] What do you mean?
[Sami-jx] It's condition is 750/925 come back when it's like 200 or so.
[Guildmate] Why?
[Sami-jx] Because it might be worse after I repair than before.
[Guildmate] Oh, thanks Sami.
[Sami-jx] NP

[Guildmate] Hey Sami, can you repair my (Insert weapon here)?

This thread just completely made my day. 
I actually flew my MWS tag yesterday, just for **edit**s and giggles. I think I just needed to subliminally remind myself why I don't do it.
But sometimes you get those sneaky types.
I was sitting at a startport the other with my TKM title and some checked my bio. Since I've only mastered 2 professions, I can't exactly lie when he says, "Are you still MWS?" So I say yes, and then he askes me for a shop wp. Unfortunately, I am still freelance and working on getting a vendor. I am actually still working on getting established, but that's another story.
Anyway, he asks me about my LLC. I am still in the middle of trying to get resources to craft good ranged weapons. My melee weapons are high end, but my rifles/pistols/carbines are just plain... good. And that's all I can say about that. The max damage I can craft an LLC with is 7xx because of resource restrictions. So he asks me to make him one anyway. I am still new to the professions and don't know what alot of weapon stats should look like or what to sell them for. I figured I made an ok LLC. I was going to sell it to him for 25k. Not much, but enough to cover my costs. I fly from Rori, to Naboo to Coronet to meet up with this guy. He looks at it and says, "This isn't good LLC, bad stats." I wanted to slap myself on the forehead. HEY, I TOLD YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE.
The only good part is that he tipped me 20K just for my time. That was appreciated.

It's a beautiful sunny day on Europe-Chimaera, and it turns out I need to have tea (that's dinner for you non-Brits (I think)). Now, I'm in Theed, and I decide, "Hmm...why don't I leave my lovely Zabrak Nuuki here with his Master Weaponsmith title up and see how much comedy value I can get when I'm back". So I **edit** off and have some sausages and chips. Half an hour later coming back with a full stomach and ready for a good laugh. I flip open my "Instant Messages" tab and it's empty, noone has sent me a tell! Hurrah! They have learnt! So I gleefully go and buy my ticket back to sunny Spiritwood, and as I'm running for the ticket droid, I get the message of doom -
"can u make me a lightsaber with a mind poison dot?"
The /addignore was a pleasure..there are so many things wrong with this that I didn't even want to even try and help this guy because it would just confuse him more...I feel really sorry for him...

Rofl,Ijust had the "what's the best weapon you can make" one happen to me haha. andI used the " what's better, a lifer preserver or a glass of water?" line on him and he comes out with a glass of waterr??

there's alot wrong with what you posted, take your comment on the flushing shot, now expect to get it 4 times a night plus 5 tells concerning covershot and another 2 concerning crafting armor, THEN you might START to understand what its like. we enjoy making weapons, we enjoy the competative market, we enjoy hearing compliments about our craft, we feel rewarded with both creds and compliments, but there is all this other junk that people pile onto us, just try it for a day, then well talk.
dont trust the smith your giving the loot too? fine! dont bother them with your requests! go be a WS yourself or make friends with one! or even better you could join a guild, ask who the weaponsmith is, then send him a mail within the first 10min of joining!
you are exactly what we have been posting about for the last 7 pages, thank you for coming here and first hand illustrating the point! THERE'S THE DOOR! USE IT!

lol, well reading this changed my opinion about customers... i stopped being the nice kind person... here is what happened today.
C: Hey! Do you make really good VKs?
C: (Responds again, before i can reply fast enough) I dont want that **edit**ty 2.2 40-140 **edit**, i want it really good...
Me: (gotta erase what i was gonna say for this jack ass, fyi, regular really good Vks are 2.2 40-140) Uhh... those are the best they come crafted, you should get it!
C: No they aren't! ive seen ones that are 120-250!
Me: I really really doubt that, infact its not true, trust me, im the weaponsmith
C: Well i saw it! i know they exist!
Me: yeah maybe a hand full of them and they probably sell for like 1.5 million
C: so are you gonna make me one or not?
Me: If the ones you "Saw" were so good, go buy one of those
C: Are you always a jackass to all your potential customers?
Me: Only The Idioitic ones... and ohh, btw, welcome to my ignore list have a bad day!

I just had this one asked of me while I grabbed some items from the bazaar in Mos Eisley... The question that nearly struck me speechless was the second one...
Customer: How much for vk?
(since my shop is on Rori I ansered
Me: 3k and a travel to Rori.
Customer: ok. u know what a vk is right?
(Hmmmmmm, a real stumper. After some consideration I chose to answer with a question myself

Here's my number 1 experience with Questions You NEVER Ask a Weaponsmith. I call this my "SuperN00B" experience:
SuperN00B: hi.
SuperN00B: what weapons do you make.
SuperN00B: hhhheeeeeeelllllllloooooooo
SuperN00B: hey, answer me.
SuperN00B: are you there, say yes if you are.
Me: Hi.
SuperN00B: what weapons do you make.
SuperN00B: for hand on hand.
SuperN00B: 1-handed.
SuperN00B: 2-handed.
Me: I am a master, I can make every weapon known to bothan, trandoshan, or humankind.
Me: Lol
Me: I generally don't do special orders for non-PA members.
SuperN00B: and polearm
SuperN00B: plez
SuperN00B: what are PA members
SuperN00B: i have most the materils but dont have the skill to make weapons
Me: A PA is a Player Association.
SuperN00B: why can tyou make me weapons
Me: I don't do special orders, it takes up my valuable time. I put weapons on my vendors, you can look there for what I am currently offering

This was my first SuperN00B experience since I usually keep a low profile. I didn't immediately respond since I was in a lot of other conversations at the time. I usually don't let conversations like this go on as long anymore.
