Thread: What to use my krayt ABPH's in..

Hiya, I have 7 identical ABPH's with that stats of:
min 19
max 108
speed -.96
Now I'm having trouble deciding what to put them into. I think I definetly wanna set 3 aside for a repiblic blaster and a scatter pistol, which leaves me with 4 left.
what do you think I should use them on? I'd like to make a nice chunk of change back since these tissue were a very large investment of my total funds.
maybe a Geno sonic blaster? I was thinkin carbines then i remembered almost no one is a carbineer, and most of the ones who are prolly wouldn't be able to afford a nice krayt carbine. as for rifles, if the buyer gets a speed slice it seems like the gun almost de-values (but i'm not the buyer here)
So any help on what i could use them for would be greatly appreciated

Interesting note here...BH's get certs for their own pistol (Scatter) and their own Heavy Weapon (LLC). So, why did the devs just decide to leave out a new carbine cert too? This has confused me since the first time I really studied the BH tree.

well I guess I'll go with the DX2. My base DX2 is 2.4 103 -169
I just finished the scatter, 1.8 119 - 220 but has 791 condition ( got a critical failure on durability 
)

Well its obvious when you look at the bh has a stellar carbine in the form of the dh17 that can be gotten down to great speeds. Remember bhs use carbines to knock states on opponents dizzy stun blind and knockdown. Bounty hunters rarely use carbines to inflict damage.
Though I would say the poster should dedicate those tissues to one power handler weapons, because he will waste one schematicing power handlers. Avoid the republic blaster aswell simple truth is its only a pistoleer weapon. While most pistoleers have novice bounty hunter for the scatter pistol. A scatter pistol is already a formidible weapon without krayt tissues.
Basic stat is 121 151. With those tissues you could make a 140 259 1.2 speed. That is before the slice. If you are going the carbine route then you will most likely want to use an imperial stock to get it as fast as possible. Keep in mind the speed formula is getting seriously cut. Some saying that the max you might expect to get from profession bonuses maxing with only one second off fireing time.
Back to the scatter with a perfect damage slice you might expect a what 184 341 a perfect speed slice might get you a .8 speed
So with seven of these nice scatters or six if your first craft of the power handlers is outstanding you will have made guns that will easily sell for half a million.

oops just looked again thought those were tissues you were talking about. I would still say scatter pistols are the way to go if your looking for resale.

hmmm maybe i should use the rest on scatter. i should prolly make a schematic. Geez this stuff is hard!

Oh, way back in the day....in the long long ago back during my first run as a WS when I ran a niche market of only really making and selling Krayt FWG5's, I critted on like three in a row one time. Lost three tissues in the process. It was HORRIBLE!

Try crit failing on a T21 with eleven tissues of much higher stats than these, if you want horrible - I nearly quit the game...
As far as suggestions Byra - and please, you only waited a half hour before complaining 
- it all depends on the market on your server. I agree that for many servers the market for pistols is "subdued", but then again those tissues look far less dramatic in a rifle. A laser carbine is a reasonable compromise, but in the end you need to gauge where the demand is. I regularly make high-end (million credit+) republic blasters on Tempest, and they always sell immediately, so it all depends...

He should also take into account that a bad slice can completely cover over the krayt in a laser carbine rifle. So if he gets the sliced before hand which is what most people demand of krayt weapons. He might actually lose money. While on a krayt scatter he has seven shots at perfection. In other words one of those guns might be the closest thing to heaven and will fetch a hefty price.

Sliced beforehand? What server are you on? I've never sold a single sliced weapon, and I've been doing this since day one...hence the motto

If you're good enough, there's no need to slice...I agree with your point about one weapon vs. many though, and the economics on Tempest still strongly push for pistols. Still, one has to study one's own market...

You could make an incredible DX-2 with those remaining 4 tissues. I'm sure with the resources caps causing mass outflows of CRAPTACULAR non-ehanced DX-2's, someone would be willing to pay QUITE a bit for a nice DX-2.

BH/Carbineers flat out Carbineers use Elite Carbines in PvP
But it might net you some nice cash if you use them in a sonic blaster.
