ummm uhoh bad things?
hmm I'd like to know more of the details about this but it seems SOE are not saying anything except that he lost it because he was forwarding messages to the devs instead of going through Tiggs or TH.....hmmm wonder if he was given a warning or just the boot? Then again maybe that is something they explain upfront when you become a corespondant and he was blantently doing it knowing he shouldnt?....like i said, i'd like to know more!

Hmm my problem is that ok, his prof got screwed he tried to get his fellow AS to get some attention to the devs, he got booted. Ok maybe it was wrong but I can't see many AS wanting to fill a corr spot that was left by a corr being kicked. Kinda sad if he was booted for trying to make his prof better.

That is a shame.
I knew that armorsmiths were getting the shaft... dont know what they expected us to do.

Oa'kron tried for more than a week to communicate the AS communities concerns regarding CU and was not getting ANY response. Not even a "yes, I'll get back to you". As the Cu kept unfolding AS kept being $crewed further into oblivion, so finally he mentioned that he was going to try again to communicate, but failing that the other option was for all AS to write directly to Blivtex, the "dev" responsible for the turd called AS post-CU.
People jumped the gun and wrote in immediately.
This is the repsponse. Not an admition that they had ignored us, or that AS in CU needed be looked at, just this.
Guard Felton well, CU will lead to heads rolling, lets try to ensure its not on the player side.

Tiggs said something about a corr supposed to be a link between community and TH and her. Booting the corr at this time is just stoopid

Basically the message mentioned that fact that the armorsmith correspondent was no longer the correspondent.
Tiggs posted in the thread about how the job of the correspondent was to cummunicate to TH and her. That was the only statement she said.
The armorsmith correspondent sent messages strait to developers and I think that is the reason he was let go. Most likely he was getting no info back from tiggs or th and felt he had to get somthing strait to the developers telling them that the armorsmith cummunity was not happy at all with some of the changes.
Everyone know the armorsmith profession would change but we though it was just going to be that the armor would be useful not that they would change the whole way to craft and other types of things.

I'm not privvy to all the details of what occurred, but suffice to say that removing Oa from his position was not something that SOE did lightly. Whatever precipitated it, I've no doubt that they had valid reasons for their actions, whether you or I agree with them or not.
The correspondent program is something I've yet to see duplicated in other games, and it lays a tremendous amount of responsibility on those who participate in it. We are expected to be the conduit for information from our communities -- essentially representing hundreds or thousands of players -- to the developers, and to provide feedback when asked. We're all passionate and knowledgable about our professions, otherwise we wouldn't be here. It can often be difficult not to let that passion and desire to do what we feel is right for our respective communities overcome the professionalism and courtesy that is expected of us.
In any event, I recommend that we all let sleeping dogs lie, lest the mods take offense. The situation doesn't directly concern us; let's not complicate everyone's lives by forcing our way into it.

This is NOT going over well over there, it's total chaos a forum war between mods and forum-goers.
