Anyone got any suggestions on how to acheive this quickly?

Start a new account and try again, Jedi d00d. Weaponsmith is the hardest grind there is.

You know... I'd almost be tempted to agree with Samwise there... in fact, I will =)

Seriously... I just spent ... like two weeks... nothing but grinding for play time.

WS takes about 20 hours of grinding.

I'll have to disagree with Samwise. BH is the hardest grind in the game. If you got Weaponsmith, count yourself lucky. find a good macro, they are all over this board, pull together around 500k units of steel or so, and make metal rods till firearms 2, then make projectile rifle barrels.

Its not the hardest, buts its definetly the most boring. Bh you get to spam a Lighting Shooting Rifle at things, that is fun. Clicking 5 million times on a little teeny button is not

I too pulled "master weaponsmith" from my holo, and ya know what? I'm gonna keep it. I'll drop everything else to save my weaponsmith skills as I progress onward. My secondary avatar was a shot at weaponsmith, but now that I can go it full time with added results( 1 step closer to jedi) I'm stoked.

Shun me 'cause a holo sent me, but I intend to be around for a while.

right on man, i too got master weaponsmith. The only problem with that macro floating around on the forum is that you cannot be near crafting stations, or it will screw it up. So if you wanna make a Rifle Barrel, your SOL, unless anyone knows how to alter that macro?

The macro works great, and you don't need to be near a crafting station if you follow the directions. You need to make Projectile Rifle Barrels, which requires a Generic Crafting Tool. There are 2 different Rifle Barrels, well actually there are more if you include advanced, but u make the one that requires the generic tool not a specialized tool and crafting station. If you look in your draft schematics you will notice which is the one to make. You are able to get it at Firearms II. To achieve firearms I, I crafted blade vibro units i think. They give about 90-95 if I remeber correctly.

If you use the macro, remember to change the macro posted on the boards to read:

/nextCraftingStage...the one on the boards reads /nextcraftingstage

You will need about 300k-400k steel I believe

A friend of mine just mastered it in 4 days, its taking me about 2 weeks because I play 2 accounts and u will go insane if you spend all day running the macro

i was told to make blaster rifle barrels, not the projectiles.... and I was told there was a way to alter the macro.

I check swgcraft and this is what I found:

http://www.swgcraft.com/showschem.php?id=prbarrel

http://www.swgcraft.com/showschem.php?id=brbarrel

the first link is the one I am making that only requires a Generic tool, the second one requires a Specialized Tool and to be near a crafting station. If adding a 3rd /nextcraftingstage to the macro works then were home free gaining an extra 21 points of xp (u may think this is not a lot but think about it in the long run. May save 1k+ clicks hehe.
