So far everything is better or the same...waiting on new parts to try something lieka republic though. If it turns out this change wasa positive I am gonna be pretty irritated with the dev team. I fought against this just like everyone else because every dev that commented on it said that it was going to be a change for the worse.... I need to make final builds. Right now I am guessing that acc and hams are gonna be worse than before patch but damage and speed will eb a touch higher.

I think the patch is giving us more of a stretch in each direction.

You can get more damage/spd

-or-

you can get lower hams

but you cant get 90% in both.

WITH TWELVE POINTS. People without SEAs might as well be novices again because their products will be worse than before, and worse than the 12-point crafters. I read a couple threads in the armorsmith forum, and the only people who liked the patch were the greedy ones with twelve points who only consider the effects on themselves.

yes this new system only benifits people with 12 exp points. i do have 12 points and i dont think this system shoud stay at all. it will detroy any new smith trign to make it in the biz and it will also destroy anyone who doesnt have the extra points.

My few attempts with 12 points has yielded slightly better speed/damage for items using high quality resources. There are definately less points available for other experimentation bars. It often takes 10 or 11 points to max out the speed/damage bar. For those with 12 points and good resources, they could make slightly better damage/speed items at the cost of other attributes.

Agreed its still worse even with 11 points I would rather keep the old system. Here is my comparison.

I compared a new Republic Blaster to one made yesterday, same resources, same 11 point used on both guns.

OLD ABPH:

18-36 -.36

NEW ABPH:

19-39 -.39

Old Advanced Barrels:

14-14 -.69

wound 8

Ideal range 10

New Advanced Barrels:

15-15 -.7

8 wound

Ideal range 4

And thenI used the same scoeps on both guns, that I had made up yesterday as I got the exact same stats making a new scope today.

Old Republic Blaster:

66-204 2.5 speed

28.1 wound

+0, -25, +0

17/46/18

871 dur

New Republic Blaster:

68-208 2.5 speed

28.6 wound

+0, -33, +0

19/48/19

871 dur.

So the change allowed me to put more points than the norm into damage. So with my 11th point I was able to get damage up higher than what i did yesterday at the cost of accuracy and hams. I stick with the assesment made before patch, this is not a change for the better. Maybe if you were a 12 point smith you could make something with the exact same stats as you did before but no way in a hell a 10 point smith could.

I did a bit of experimenting as well, with subcomponents that I had crafted in anticipation of this nerf. On the Artisan side, since I have 11 points, my equipment comes out better. On the weaponsmith side, everything is consistently worse, as I only have the standard 10 exp. points.

now my experimetns are with 12 points

old power handlers

20-39 .39 - only able to use9 exp points in the dmg liine.

new

21-42 .42 - was able to use 11 exp poitns in the dmg line now.

my laser carbs and rifles now have 10 more poitns of max dmg. yes this at the cost of the condition. now my condition is under 1k.
