Thread: E11 vs EE3 vs Elite Carbine
I wanted to get some advice from you Weaponsmiths before buying a custom-made weapon.
To me, it's not so much about damage as it is about the look of the weapon. Therefore, I don't like Laser Carbines. I like the Elite Carbine and the E11 Carbine. But is it worth it to take Novice Carbineer just to use the Elite? The EE3 has respectable stats but looks like something out of some Mad Max flick. Then you have the E11. Nice for low-levels, but not too good for me right now (Master Marksman).
But, there is experimentation. Although I have no clue what WS's get as far as Effectiveness and all that. So, basic question. Is it possible, with let's say the right conditions and resources, to make an E11 that is as good or comparable with an EE3 or an Elite?
Just carry an E11 around town and whip out the big guns when you're fighting.

LOL. No. I'm kinda weird like that. I'm the anti-power gamer lol. I don't care if one weapon does more damage than the other. That's not what it's about to me. <g>
Post last patch carbines (well, some of them) are now showing stocks. They always showed scopes as long as they were hand made - as of this time weapons made in a factory will always be missing the visual representation of optional parts. Note not all guns will show parts even if hand made. There's some trial and error in the learning process.
The DXR6, Elite, Laser and EE3 carbines now all show stocks. Carbines always used to also show scopes, so now they come up stocked and scoped. The E11 carbine still does not show any optional parts, sadly. I would strongly suggest you have a look at the Elite and Laser carbines with stock and scope, if you're after looks. The Elite, scoped and stocked looks very very cool, and the Laser Carbine scoped and stocked looks like a modern day assault rifle, sans ammo clip. The EE3 looks like the World War 2 British Sten sub-machine gun - the DXR6 looks like a fish ![]()
Thanks for the info. I don't liek the Laser Carbine at all though. It looks nothing like a Carbine, not my thing.
However my question keeps getting missed. Is there a way through experimentation to make an E11(what I really want) to be comparable to the higher end Carbines?
As for the original question, I highly doubt the E11 carbine would ever match the higher end carbines (unless you use a Krayt Tissue) because it requires Plumbum Iron. Plumbum invariably has lousy Conductivity.
Really! **edit** I must have been blind or something. Will have to check it out. I could have sworn E11 carbines never showed up optionals, blah!

Note that the stock/scope/barrelmodels only appear to the person wielding the weapon - everyone else will see you running around with a completely generic weapon. Also, stocks SUCK and will make carbine even more worthless than it already is with their HAM and speed penalties.
Nothing will compare with the laser carbine, because it's the only medium armor piercing carbine.
A carbine is a description for a firearm, and the laser carbine fits the description. A carbine is a more compact version of a rifle with a smaller barrel and a shorter range allowing manuverability.

The EE3 sucks becauseit has high HAM and no armor piercing. The E11 sucks because it has low damage and only light armor piercing, which is directly related toplumbum ironbeing garbage. There is no way around this because there will never be decent plumbum. The E11s you see from the few people who actually make them (and have them sit on vendor for weeks before anyone buys them) are as good as they're going to get.
Since you and your friend will probably read that and space out after I mention iron, the short answer is NO, IT SUCKS.
