Thread: Best T-21's out there
Can masters please sound off as to what the best T-21's are out there?
I recently made a Kryat Enhanced T-21 and I would like to see how it stacks up to others.
Kryat T-21
900 /900 Condition
5.6 Speed (28% Speed Slice)
161 - 425 Damage
36.7 Wound
H - 70 A - 64 M - 102
Is this good? I was hoping to have higher damage. I used +41 Damage -.333 Speet Kryat Tissue.
Nice gun. Mediocre slice.
Ive had non-krayt t21s hit 500 max dmg with a 35% dmg slice.
My T-21's not using an adcanved stock or Krayt tissue are 7.2speed 362max damage.
I have some 825SR Link-Steel and 685SR Corellian wood (best on Valcyn apparently) and I'll be making a T21 using that, as soon as I have the wood in my bag.
I am shooting to match our servers best of 404max damage 7.7speed but I have a feeling I could beat it by 1 or 2 max damage (not a whole heckuva lot so I'm not going to brag about it if I do, but it is a goal) I will be making a run of 100 of these. (25 of which are already sold with the buyer expecting me to hit my goal)
Raicella,
Shame on you for calling a 28% speed slice on this gun a "Mediocre" Slice. At 35%, you must have been going to church every Sunday for a year. More accurately, 35% is an exceptional slice, whereas a 28% slice is darn good. Slicing from a master gives you anywhere between 12 and 35 percent on weapons. Clearly 28% is on the higher end of the scale.
Well, I've never hit below 15% since I became master. So with a range of 15-35% (20 points) a 28% is only in the 65th percentile. That's above average i guess, but nothing to write home about. I personally feel that under 30% is disappointing, but thats just me. I slice hundereds of weapons a week, so maybe Im just jaded and see a lot of 30% or more due to the volume I produce.
Also, I would have rather had a Damage slice on a T21.
The reason I like damage slices on high damage guns is that you get diminishing returns with speed slice plus speed power up and growing returns with damage slice plus damage power up.
For example:
Base gun: Speed 10 Damage 100
- A 20% speed slice (-2 speed) followed by a 20% speed powerup (-1.6 speed) is 6.4 speed.
- A 20% damage slice (+20 damage) followed by a 20% damage powerup (+24 damage) is 144 damage.
The result is even more impressive when the damage is enormous (Like a great T21 or even better, a rocket launcher). Also, there are lots of speed bonuses at higher skill levels, so speed is less important on advanced weapons.
Of course low speed is fine too, and in a long firefight can actually be better. Its just that most players prefer the 1 shot kill.

I agree. Unfortunatly we have no way of knowing weather the slice is going to be Damage or Speed before hand.
/sigh
Sets of 11 same serial krayt tissues are hard to come by.

Resources are not bad on Corbantis although some of the ones for these are getting very slim...

Well thanks for the info, I thought i might have been on the short end of the resource stick... I had originally thought that the smith might have just made one with good resources and kept those tissues... But one of my best friends arranged the build so I had trouble thinking his friend would give me the shaft like that...
I am going weaponsmith to satisfy my holo. If it seems interesting enough to me I might not pick back up my doctor skills I'm going to have to surrender to get it. Plus it will save me bundles on my T21's I run through like water... I don't want to hijack the thread so I'll leave my "please give an aspiring smith some tips" to another thread.
I have some resources stashed trying to come up with all of them for T21. For some reason you guys might think I'm a rifleman or something.... (T21 T21 T21 T21 T21)
