Hello New Fish on the Block here. Just mastered today. I would love any insight on maybe some good ways to begin my crafting. Ideas on resources. Or maybe what i should craft first

My alt made master not to long ago and the only thing he's crafting is grenades and, because he is also a master artsian, pups. All profits are being put into resource gathering/stock piling.

Create a stockpile of all required resources then work on getting better resources. This way, you are always improving the quality of your weapons.

Usually I would give different advice but with the CU coming soon I think you should concetrate on a BIG stockpile of resources, I did this when I started over a year, I have enough stuff for making my weapons and now I only have to do any harvesting if something really special appears.
The first thing I suggest you look for is Copper with a high Conductivity and Overall Quality, Polysteel should be good. Since resources change alot between servers the best thing you could do is make contact with a friendly Weaponsmith on your server and ask for advice on building up a good stockpile.
I dont think you should setup a vendor or craft mass amounts of weapons yet because none of us are really sure how they will be converted in the CU. If you need to make money craft some weapons to sell on the bazaar, DL44 Pistol, EE3 Carbine, Laser Carbine, Laser Rifle. But all that is just my opinions, the main thing is to enjoy the profession like I have.

Get acquainted using resource websites, iootnega.com is a pretty usefull site, cross referenced with swgcraft.com for resource usage/important stats

How up to date are those two websites you mentioned? Do you think they are about one day behind or are they Johnnie-on-the-spot with new resources?

The sites get their information from SWGCRAFT, so it depends on how often people update SWGCRAFT and how often the other sites access SWGCRAFT for resource information updates. Most of the sites update multiple times throughout the day and say somewhere on them the last time they accessed SWGCRAFT.

so how are all you people making it to weaponsmith? is there some way that you craft overnight or something? cause I'm starting the grind, and I've got over 3.7 million xp to go. And at 125 a craft, its looking like its going to be a while if ever. I though I payed for this and it was a video game, but aparently its imaginary work, like digging ditches in a blizzard, its just silly.

Read the weaponsmith grinding guides to it....that is the fastest way, and you think WS is hard to grind, try Shipwright.
