Thread: It's a curse post your speed/damage slice ratios on Krayt T21s
I think that since becoming a WS I've made around 15 of these suckers, currently running at 12:3 speed/damage
Are they cursed? Is there some weighting in the averages? I'll ask in the Smuggler board as well, although they may not want to answer for fear of being blamed for fumble-fingered slicing

Reminds me of the time my buddy bought four suits of stun compo and asked me to slice.
EVERY PEICE got an encumberance slice...
I simply could not believe that streak...

a speed slice on most pistols is worthless because most pistoleers/bh'ers are speed capped even w/ 4-6.0 speed weapons
most pistoleer/anything else is not speed capped at that rate. As for worthless, I ask only was the gun not faster than before?
The mind set for slicing needs to change. As I mentioned it is a gamble, if you do not think the weapon or armor you are buying unsliced is worth it as is then you shouldn't buy it. Far too many people buy things with the thought that a certain slice will give them xx.

ummm using this website http://killyourpc.org/swg/swg_dps.php i am currently (Pistoleer 0043, BH 0040) speedcapped for any pistol at ANY speed ... 2.0 speed ... up to 99999 speed ... i was a 0002 pistoleer w/ 0040 BH and master marksman and i had 94 (possibly 96, not positive) pistol speed ... it caps at 100 meaning that if you have BH w/ that little bit of pistoleer you are basically capped at all specials 1.0
w/ that 94 speed i was speedcapped for all pistols up toaround 4.3(which is most pistols unsliced excluding de-10) ... not trying to be an ass ... just stating things ive experienced : )
This is true. Most people who are willing to invest in an enhanced weapon are going to be speed capped. Especially some weapons like the DE-10 which is certed at a master box or the T21 which is going to be eniterly too slow even with a speed slice until master(which in the case of riflemen is an instant speed difference at master). Smugglers keep saying that no matter what, the weapon is better then it was before. I know smuggler have absolutly no control over what the slice turns out to be and it's not their fault. However, that mentality of it "being better" only works if people run around with unsliced weapons. The fact is "bad sliced" do "ruin" the weapon because once a weapon has one, it will never, ever, be able to get a "good" slice where as an unsliced weapon sill has that chance. I have a "Speed Slice" vendor, a "Damage Slice" vendor, and an "Unsliced" vendor in my shop. The Damage slice vendor always get's almost all my customers, then when it's about picked over, people switch to the unsliced vendor for that hope of getting a good slice. I usually have to end up destroying all but the fastest of my weapons on the speed sliced vendor to make room for restocks.
