what would be better for an adv laser rifle? looted stocks have a dmg bonus and looted scopes have an accuracy bonus.

you can also use both 
the stocks WS can make are a lot better though, if you want a sac capped rifle..

The looted stocks don't reduce Special Attack Cost. I personally always prefer the crafted ones.

You could actually use both, but I wouldn't use the stocks.
I haven't figured out why looted stocks are so popular.
They seem ideal for mid level guns, where SAC is not as important. But the speed and damage benefit of a looted stock is offset by the 20 points or so of additional SAC for level 54 weapons.
A weaponsmith on our server bought some on auction for 400K. I asked him what he was using them for, and he told me it was for an experiment -- that didn't work out as he had hoped. Therefore, he had no use for the stocks.
Does anyone use looted stocks in a high end weapon?

Not I...Pre-CU stocks, sure...but not looted

I'll probably only use them for mid level weapons in which the stock will be the only loot I use in it.

pre cu scopes converted to around -15 to -20 SAC.....alot of us are using them to cap out sac on rifles....if u can get a hold of these your in...i have 20 crates of old stocks, i should be good for a little bit lol

May seem unfair that those of us that lived through the CU have these stocks, but then again, I think about all the components that converted to trash and then I had to remake...only the have to remake them AGAIN after they made changes to the crafting system.
Gives us a little something for going through all the changes, lol
