I have stumbled apon 2 kind of unusual krayt tissues

i have 3 theories on these things so here goes

they have no serial numbers....so:

1. (likely) the tissues can only be used as a regular pair of tissues

2. (possible) when using a set of say 8 or 10 tissues a factory may accept these into that series?

3. (highly unlikely but WOW if its true) if a handler was made from these tissues the schematic would accept any serial tissues with same stats

anyone have any thoughts? experience?

No. 3 is the correct answer. I believe it was discussed here as being an exploit althoughI don't know if that's the official verdict on these. Basically you could make a power handler schematic with one of these and it would accept any tissue (with or without serial number) thus meaning you can technically produce krayt handlers without wasting one from each set. If this IS an exploit tread warily, but if not, these are probably worth a LOT of money. I'll let someone else field this, but I know what I'd be doing ...

Please not that Werrt' Zer Inc Weaponry does not condone the use of exploits in weaponmaking but that is d4mn tempting sometimes.

Umm, how can it not be an exploit? Using a limited use item for mass production.

This was precicely the controversy over Fiku and VAST...

They had apparenlymade shematics using exceptional tissue, and then used any old +30 "normal" tissue in the factory run.

I, personally, don't see much of a problem with this, as it allows higher-quality product to be made even if you don't have a guild camping a krayt spawn 24/7 for thise uber tissues.

if this is an exploit im going to have to contact the csr's about it

I purchased these not knowing a thing about them.

thanks for the input guys. ill get back to you on whether sony declares the tissues legal

if they arent they will be destroyed

They' ve said it was exploit, but if you just use the actual tissues one time, and destroy the power handler schematic afterwards, you SHOULD be ok. Actually, you' d be helping get rid of the "problem" tissues, so would be doing the game a favor.

what exactly has classed it as an exploit?

were they looted that way? or was something "illegal" done to them

It's an exploit, because of that schematic which can be used to mass produce krayt items. There was a specific developer response about a month ago (sorry i don't have the link) where we were told flat out "this is an exploit. Destroy any schematics you may have." I'm pretty sure some people got banned over it, so i really wouldn't use it if I were you.

is there a site on here that lists what is a current exploit? I mean if I do not read all these boards and do something that is an exploit and not really know it, how am I responsible?

ok we can all se that if you used one exeptional 'blank' tissue and then used crappy ones to make same power then it is bad.

but what if you had one basic 'blank' tissue and whit it you had schematic to mass produce these (21-72 0.72s) ABPH whit any kind of tissue. that would help many ppl who want to get Krayt gun but have bad luck to loot only 4 tissue sets while they need 5 or 11 ones.

its only an exploit to make a SCHEMATIC out of them.. if you just craft them into a power handler your not exploiting.. infact your helping remove them from the game. So use them.. but not to make a schematic.. just to make single power handler krayt weapons like scatters etc. This was the official word from TH
