I wouldn't be in the crafting business without swgcraft.com

I'm too lazy to go out hunting for resources otherwise, lol.

Use Jenner & Fooman's Crafting Tool powered by MS Excel.

I'm having serious withdrawls from the 'find resources' tool being down. I hate not knowing how new stuff compares witht the best to spawn, especially while I'm at work and can't use Fooman's tool.

JnF's WS tool is the mfing shizzle.

I use 1.63 and it highlights stats based on %ages you set showing how close the resource is to theoretical maximum.

Mmm, lots of dark green on my resource sheet...

SWGCraft & Fooman & Jenner's tool will really make or break a weaponsmith. I wouldn't be the weaponsmith I am today without it.

While I've never used the spreadsheet, Tempest is fortunate to have our own Resource Co-operative at enactive.org/swg. I have watch lists set up to notify me by e-mail if something I need spawns, and you can customize your list so that it would only notify you if what spawned was better than what you already had. For example, my current ditanium I use for advanced reinforced cores is like 831 UT. So I have it set not to e-mail me unless ditanium with a higher UT spawns. That kind of thing.

No way would I still be a weaponsmith without this great site.

What's the deal with the spreadsheet? Is it that hard to compare resources and determine what you want to put into something? What makes it so special? (Not a dis, just a question.)

I'll bite, where can I find this sheet?

Personally, I have created an Excel document just for crafting prices and showing average speed and damage numbers of the weapons I've created. Very very handy when someone asks me for prices or speed/damage of a weapon.

Sorry, but I still think Fooman/Jenner's tool beats that. You should download it and find out the difference, I can quickly scan every resource I would possibly ever think about using and it tells you what % it is better than the best and second best you have in stock so you don't even have to bother looking and the -%s. I have only used this tool one week, I am one of the best weaponsmiths on Starsider and I don't rely on this tool I know all my resources, but this thing makes it alot easier.

They both come in handy... I prefer the Enactive interface over SWGcraft any day... The email notification alone is of great use... Use it in conjunction with Fooman's and its really powerful... I don't use Fooman's myself as I have memory of all my resources and can quickly reference all spawns of that particular resource in seconds using our database... PLUS anyone that updates the site gives the information to the community for immediate use instead of having to import the information manually into a spreadsheet...

Both have their uses its just a matter of preference and availability (not everyone uses excel)

I only started using it a few weeks ago, but now I have no idea how I did things without it. I used to have a sheet with every resource and what stats I needed, and I would spend so much time checking everything one by one, along with all the time experimenting with different resources.

I'll swear by it.

The only pain is that you have to manually write down and transfer your personal stock of resources. But it's worth it in the end.
