I saw a reference to this in a post on test center.

Is there a food buff that gives a +10 experimenation buff ? is it coming with 7 or already here ? How long does it last ?

Sorry if these are noob questions but I tried searching to no avail.

I have not heard anything about this. However, if this is indeed true, that would be awesome.

I think the drink you are referring to is Bespin Port. It gives a 3 to 12% increase to experiment success. Basically, it does not give you any more experimentation points, but makes your chances of success with your points better (e.g. greater chance of getting an amazing or great experiment).

I also did not see any changes for Chefs with P7. Hopefully someone will prove me wrong as I would love to have this as well!

Yes, I've been using Bespin port. It does what has been described, although I have noticed empirically that it's not more amazing successes, it's less moderate successes.

One swig is good for 12 or so crafts...

On my server Bespin Port goes for about 7k a bottle. From what I've been told it requires very specific resources to craft.

My own personal method is to experiment with 3 points at a time. That way I can take 4 swigs, gain the bonus for each of my typical experiment attempts over the course of the entire set of points, and wind up with a full tummy at the end.

As far as I can tell, each swig is good for only one experimentation attempt. Watch the buff meter - after one click of the "Run Experiment" button, the buff goes away.

It is good for only one... i have a crate of 11% bestine and to tell you the truth i still get mod successes while in a research center and sucking down port. It has a filling of around 15 so you can only drink it a few times and then your SOL for the next half hour. My advice is to get the weapon up to more than 1/2 full experamented with no port... and if its turning out well then take a few hits and finish it off. I usualy get most of my mod successes on those last 2-3 blocks anyway it seems.

OK, so...let me get this right...to increase my chance of experimenting I must drink Brandy....

Now if only this worked in Real Life.

LOL. Never though of it that way, but that is funny. I never have been able to figure out the stuff. Sometimes it does only seem to work on the next experiment. But if you drink it before you open your crafting tool, it seems to work longer. But who really knows. I usually go 2, 2 then take a swig and go from there. The closer I am to maxing the bar, the more likely I'll just do them one at a time. I recently used it making a T21 with the form fitted stock and got two amazing successes in a row. I bought a crate for a high price (50k), but I'll get a couple hundred uses out of it. And if it prevents a moderate success ona limited use schematic like a scythe, it will be a good investment. But I also make sure there are no potential problems. No battle fatigue. No headgear. Sitting down. In a research center. Crafters cake and Bespin port. Brand new 15.oo tools with a 42+ crafting station. That's all I can do.
