Not asking about some bone you saw a year ago, specifically asking about current ones.

Just so you know, I was under the impression that only 150-ish bones were dropping, yet all of a sudden I see a dozen people in my servers trade forums with "WTB +250 Acklay bone" posts, so I wanted to know if these dropped currently (at which point I go move into geo until I get me some ) or if this was just some fabled pre-CU drop that would sell for eleventy billion credits.

So in talking to a few weaponsmiths, I was told you need approx +100 bones for them to even be worth using, at least on PH's, since apparently you can achieve better results by making a geo core with red cubes ( -10 to -15's) and geo pastes (+20 to +25's)

Is this true? Be a dang shame if it is, got a pile of +70 to +90 bones in my warehouse, be annoying if all they were was good decoration lol.

to Answer your questions:

1. Best Ive seen post CU is 120 max, but that doesnt mean they dont drop higher. Remember 300 bones were very very rare pre CU and then the acklay was camped at all hours. POst CU a lot less people go slay the Acklay and thus less bones are looted. so they may still drop with 300 max dam, but are even more rare than before the CU I guess noone really knows for sure


2. It is true that red cubes and pste can in most cases make a lot better hammers than Bones. To top it Acklay Bone Hammers would only be able to go to 95 sac (If my memory serves me well) and that is by maxing out the sac lin leaving only 3-4 points for the damage. so I would say the bones need to be very high to warant use (or the devs needs to add sac reduction to them /cross fingers )

They way it use to work and not sure on the formula now but theoretically Exceptional anything was 5x better than normal so they would be in the 300 range while Legendary was 10x better than normal which would put in the 600 range.

Thats the way it use to work but I havent heard of anyone looting anything Exceptional or Legendary since the CU came out.

I'm pretty sure Acklay loot is messed just like the krayts... and so many other things. i've had my ear to the ground on what has been dropping and best one i've heard of(did not see it) was 134min182max bone. Ladywolff is on my server and the bone that she used is 2nd best that I've heard of since CU. Most I've seen or heard of were 70-110's. I went down there with many a group so they could get their badge and we never got anything worth while.

And your second question, Hammers I've made with Red -14 cubes and +32 dmg solid agents worked out very very well. I speed sliced them and they have seemed to work out.

If you get cubes and solidifying agents in those ranges, you'll be laughing.

I wouldn't call myself an Acklay camper pre-CU, was far easier staying at the top with the Geos. Though the dozen or two time I did both getting to big green and toothy I only ever got 1 set of base bones. Got 1 InterwovenRIS schematic thing too. Some hide, venom but seemed to constantly get the Interwoven Bone armour segment schematic.

Which put me right of visiting him....
