Thread: Which Species For TKA?

Well, I had a Zabrak TKA at one point, but had to cancel my account for a short time. Now that I am back to playing again, I wanted to start over. But just with a new species. I was going for Master Smuggler/Master TKA/Master Pistoleer with my Zabrak, which I plan to do again. However, I didn't like the fact that I would get mind incapped alot while using VKs with my Zabrak. So I am wondering which species is the best all around for TKA, bearing in mind that I can stat migrate to mind to help out with incaps, and buffs to all the other stats for my Pistoleer skills. Please help me if you can. Thanks.

I have found that human has been the best race for every proffesion that I have done. I migrate all my stats to 1000/1000/1000 in my mind stats and have everything else just 400. Then again I'm a doc so I can buff whenever I like but I would still do it this way for the best mind stats.

I had same build with my Zabrak. I use 33% mind pups on my VKs. I don't use the VKs at all in PvE. Given how the game is now, migrate for buffs. I worked my mind up to 1000. I just kept the minimums on Health and Action. Once you get enough in Meditate line to powerboost you will be thankful you did give yourself 1000 mind since the boost halves whatever your mind is. Even if you don't find buffs all the time, you can powerboost yourself a nice 500 to health action and mind. Can't beat equilibrium either. Though, it is a tough grind. I did TKA last. I recently dropped Smuggler and Pistoleer though, but my experience with this build was that I had a great time with it. I just couldn't get a really good Geno Blaster so meh.. Without it, Pistoleer/Smuggler is a really fun build for PvE. Couldn't use it worth smack in PvP, but that's what TKM is for.

I'd have to say Human. I do need to migrate my stats though, my mind just wont do at 600. I think i will also mirate to 1000/1000/1000 and the rest 400.

At Master there is no need. No high HAM costs to slow you down. I guess thats moot because of buffs these days, but if you cant get mind buffed and have no food, don't use the VKs.

What mind cost?
I maxed out my mind substats (1000/500/900), take one arisha (1000/900+/900), one or two brandies (1000/1700+/1700+), and byebye mindcost
pups work well too...
I couldn't play another race than Zab 
(wel..got a Mon Cal and Wookie on another sever)

I have a Wook TKM, poor Wookiees and their low mind stats. My Wook is an 8 foot tall alcholic. He hits the brandy harder than anybody I know.
But with the proper food/drink he can hang pretty well, and there is nothing worse than a ticked off drunk Wookiee.

Zabrak, we may have **edit** mind stats but with mind buffs etc, we're fine and dandy, want to know what makes zabrak so special? Equilibrium! Its just like FoW except you dont need to be incapped to use it

With the right food it does not matter at all whatrace you choose. 2 brandy's and 1 ahrisa and I have virtually no HAM cost. This my Bothan TKM is happy

Trandos are indeed cool. I like the fact that they alone are naturally gifted with unarmed ability. It sucks that they can't wear armor on hands and feet and have crippled action stats but you can compensate for that.
For the person that said you don't need a VK at TKM... You're deluding yourself. You're basically gimping yourself on damage. Sure the HAM costs suck, but you can get a low HAM VK made, and also there are things called "buffs"...
