Thanks for all the input everyone. I guess with all the varying answers, it doesn't matter which species you choose. So I went with Trandoshans cause they have the innate unarmed bonuses to start with. It may not be much, but it gives me a little leg up for the unarmed tree that I need for TKA and Smuggler. God I hate Unarmed 1-4, plus the extra for TKA Novice and Smuggler Novice. But it's all worth it in the end.

Ok I'll prob get laughed at for this one but I would acctuly recomend Mon Cal!
I know it sounds odd but you get 1300 as your max mind, meening when you power boost you can have a 650 buff! 100 more then a human does. I acctuly play a human & have been a TK for a long time now but I have a Mon Cal alt architect & I do keep considering making him my TK (it's a profesion I can't live without). As I said before I'll prob get laughed at but they should make a very good TK.
Edit: Oh & on another note if people call you crap after you beat them in a duel you can always point out that they are the ones that just lost to a fish....
Seriously though I do think this would work well, in my opinion at least.

I've been a human, a zabrak, and for a brief period, a twilek. Humans are by far the best because of the underrated stat migration potential. I'd much rather be able to go grind and not have to drink brandy every 40 min. than be able to even out my HAM once an hour.

I think the PowerBoost is a straight 500 to each primary, not 1/2 of the base stat.

mmkay.
Glad to see i'm not the only Rodian TKM out there.
Someday the
s will rule the galaxy. And when that day comes, I'll be there on the front lines punching and spin-kicking with the rest of them.
Now if only I could find a female rodian somewhere.
Hey, us Rodians need luvin' too.

It's half the current maxium of your mind (without enhrances),so I have my HAM set up 700/700/1100 which gives me a power boost of 550 (when I don't have any wounds).

I think the key to choosing a race is the armor. I am a Trandoshan and when I take a foot or hand hit it is noticeable. Otherwise choose what class you like the look of.

Trados arnt the best choice for a TKM despite the supposed advantages they have in unarmed combat. The mind secondaries are pathetically small even when set to max, so its just not worth using them in my experience.
