Just 2 quick questions regarding vibro knucklers in PVP, assuming u are a master TK;

1. Do youVK's in allPVP fights against standard professionsie when they rwearing armor or not ?

2. Do you wear them in PVP fights VS jedi's in robes ?

Cause i notice they help a lot when fighting monsters - making u hit quite a lot harder.

Input appreciated, my main focus will be hunting jedis so i want to ensure im doing it right

Always wear them in PvP. If your opponent is silly enough not to be wearing armor, then you'll just hit them that much harder.

As for what kind of stats you should be looking for at tkm? Damage andHAM cost. Speed is of no concern at tkm as long as the vk's are 2.2 to 2.4 speed or under.

Thanks 'Tess.

So with that said, you would always use a VK against a robed Jedi ?

Yes, and robes offer them no protection contrary to popular belief. Robes only give bonuses to their force pool(same bonus no matter the robe type worn). All their defenses are either various forms of toughness, lightsaber block for ranged attacks, or force armor which reduces damage by about 50% at the cost of force pool drain.

Nice, thanks you! Really appreciated.

Now to get my hands on a nice dmg sliced VK and decide what powerup to put on it for jedi hunting....accuracy at point blank im assuming, that is if they make a melee version if not, min max dmg here we come.

If you get a damage slice, you might want to get a HAM powerup. Sometimes spamming the TK specials will drain your HAMs really quick.

i dont use them in PVP, in fact - i havent been using them for a while now, the only time i may equip them is if the fight is going to the line and my mind pool is getting low so i can do more damage with no specials.

The HAM powerup suggestion is a very good one. Although you might want to keep a crate of damage powerups also. If you have a doc buff and a full mind buff with canapes, brandy, and possible muon, you may want to opt for more damage until one wears off.

Personally, I always use VKs in PvP if for no other reason than the AP. Light armor will cut the damage in half before resistances are even taken into effect unless you are using VKs.

Or you could use Ahrisa and see no mind cost at all.No need for Muon unless you get in trouble and know you can get out of it within 10 minutes. Also, good Ahrisahas a 45 min or longer duration.

Lets take a look at some numbers:

If you hit for 1600 damage (give or take) based upon your Unarmed damage mod of 250 with a uh3, that equates to about 400 damage PVP, hitting a target with 80 percent kinetic armor, you do 400 X .5 X .2 = 40 damage, since you lose half your damage to the light AP and 80 percent to the kinetic resist. If you equip your VK, even on mitigated targets (which reduces the max damage of your VK to or almost to the minimum value) you'll hit for around 1800 PVE and 450-500 PVP, lets just use 500 for simplicities sake, you'll do 500 * .2 = 100 damage. Thats like 2 and a half times as much damage. This is just an example of course. On unmitigated targets I can reach 800-900 damage on uh3, even more if they are knocked down. The choice I think would be obvious, since if you aren't PVP with good enough buffs to eliminate special cost, you aren't doing it right, there is no other way to fight than with a VK. And btw, due to the way the speed formula [(Weapon Speed * Delay Mod) - (Weapon Speed * Delay Mod * Unarmed Speed/100) = attack speed, 1 if the resulting value is less than one] works, TKAs will cap with any VK, even if were 30.

Bottom line...armor piercing. The reason we have VKs is to give us light armor piercing and you'd be crazynot to use them against an armored opponent. No Knucklers against light armor means your damage is automatically cut in half.

Not equiped at the beginning.

First, put states on the enemy, intimidate, stunt, blind,...

then, see if he can heal states.

TKA fighting style is based on states.

If he can, stay without VK and keep applying states.
Each time he heal, he doesn't hit, and he loose some mind.

Then, either equip a high dmg VK or a low HAM.
Depend of your current HAM and your victim HAM.

For that, looted VK that looks useless can be pretty good.
Some have really low dmg (I have one with 8-78 damage sliced), but HAM cost is lower than what a weaponsmith can make (below 20).

So, I have the AP1 with very low ham cost.
Pretty usefull, especially if you don't use doc buff.
