Thread: Head Hit 1 and Meditate Questions.
A couple of questions:
1) Is Head Hit 1 any good, damage and HAM cost wise?
2) Does meditate help you regenerate your HAM pools faster?
1) no. None of the specific pool attacks do ANY damage. As master TKA, I know them to be less effective than base attack.
2) I think it just does as much HAM regen as sitting. Healing wounds + poison + Bleeding is what its really about.

You're joking, you've got to be. I just used Nexu Grin on an Imp Lieutenent, it hit for 1354, the base attacks immediately before it and immediately after it were 462 and 589 respectively. A flying guess would be that /unarmedHeadHit1 does x2.5 base damage.

I've used head hit 1 in pvp with some effectiveness. Mind is the only pool that can't be healed in combat, so it is almost always the lowest pool that everyone has. In a large group, it is possible to quickly take out a few people before incapacitating yourself.
That was my idea, I'm a rifleman and our main weakness is close range(2.5x melee damage is nasty). As I do mind damage, I was hoping headhit1 would be good, so if I leave something on littlemind from myrifle I can finish them withTKA skills.
It would also help when people run and hide in buildings in PvP. ![]()
Health damage targetedattack does about 280, action one does about380 and mind attack does about 480.
This is while wearing VK's against a non prone non KDcreature.
HAM costs are huge , not KD big but higher to youthen the damage to your target or close to that much.
Maybe after the fix for TK HAM costs and with the damage increase thenthe pool targeting attackswill be more useful.
Are about as bad as the uacombo 1 and 2 attacks almost.I have no ideain what situationthe combo attacks could have a use.

No, it doesn't. This is downright misinformation. As in my post above, I just used Nexu Grin on an Imp Sergeant Major twice. It hit for 1119 and 917 which was at least x2.5 times what my normal attacks were doing.
I tried out all the HAMtargeting attacks yesterday.
That was the damage that I saw on Torturs.
I rarely use them and was just checking if the got a boost in the big patch.
I'll check again but I don't believe that I've ever hit over 500 with any of those attacks.
Maybe if the target was KD or prone with a carbine maybe a rifle then I see 1k + damage.
He was standing up and he was swinging at me with a Gaderiffi Baton. There's something wrong with your character if you've never hit for 500 with UnarmedMindHit1.

I just checked and your correct.
Rancor rising was around 500-550, grouda stomp was about 550-675 and mind hit was 650-950 for my character with VK's .
They all took 209 HAM cost for my character also.
I must not of had VK's on yesterday when fighting tortursactually.I take them off during most fights with tortur becuase they are one of those creatures that back out of our melee range and still hit us.
Took my character 5 rancor risings to kill a meager tortur and I was at half HAM after fight.Normally I can use uahit 3 a few times without VK's on and barely notice the HAM cost, about 200 total cost during the same creature fight.
So I think now that mind targeting attack would be useful in a PvP encounter.
Still costs alot but if they reduce the costs like they promisedand up our damage then it maybeThe TK's preferred attack in PvP.
