Startedbrawling on Ahazi the other day, got a friend to hook me up with sliced VK and cash.

Thursday...Novice Brawler no UA xp

As oflate Friday night...halfway through Novice TKA

How did I do it you ask? I read the boards, I took ideas from people whomade positive posts, I used sliced VK's even though I don't have the cert (attack speed is well worth using them at novice brawler - dont listen to the idiots, they obviouslyfailed remedial math), I did missions out of Bestine at first, then later on out of Correlia, the kills are fast and very little to no downtime if youlimit your attack to berserk and no specials. (I could have stayed in Bestine and done just as well but I wanted a change in scenery - staying in Bestine might even be faster, as the missions you are looking for have shorter travel distances - most around 400 - 600 meters)

Now I admit,I cheated a *little* bit...my friend is almost a master CH. we bought some big stims for me to heal his pet with,I flew to First Aid III and Pharmacology I in a few hours on Endor (and also got tons of scout xp from the big harvests) then used some cash to grind to Chemistry II so I could make my own stims and medpacks. ( i gained no UA xp on Endor as it would be suicide to even try ), and,he trained a Cowardly Gurreck for me which I always group with. At level 1 He is too weak to help in combat, I just tell him to "stay" a safe distance from the kill sight and I go do my thing.

The character is Trandoshan and hasnt had time for any stat migration, so the ability to heal is not as useful as it could be, but still a big help. The scout xp made traveling from town to kill sight and back a little faster/easier. Money was a factor, but not that big of a deal.I didn't wear any armor, the only piece of clothing I bought was a Gunmans Duster for looks and a cheap backpack.

Still, say I took away all help. You'relooking at a max of what...5 - 6 days or so to hit Novice TKA with normal play time. Maybe a couple of weeks if you dont read the information posted on these boards and take the time to find out for yourself what works and what doesnt, and which missions are your friend and which aren't. The missions out of Mos Entha or Mos Espa pay more than enough to get to Bestine. The missions on Bestine pay you more than enough to get a mediocre pair of sliced VK's and to purchase stims. You can buy a baby Cupa for next to nothing, they are way cheaper than a probot and will live longer once grown. You may even by able to find the missions you're looking for in the starter towns, I don't know, I didn't look. I had a plan and stuck to it.

So...if I can do this, why can't you guys?

I think it boils down to most of you have grown accustomed to being "rushed" or "power leveled" and hitting max level with the character of the week in a matter of days. Or, maybe most of you have never even played a brawler, you just want to look cool in cyberspace by agreeing with the masses. Got news for ya...as far as hitting Novice TKA is concerned, the masses are wrong.

A week or so to hit novice TKA is no big deal, sit down, take a breath, relax, enjoy the game. It's not going away next month or next summer for that matter. You don't need to hit master TKA and be halfway through your second elite mastery in2 weeks.

For you non-believers, come to Ahazi, i'll show you just how easy it is to get Novice TKA.

For you l33t do0d5 who skipped to this part of the post and are now pushing the flame button...just go back to killing cows or monkeys and saying "poaned" in real life, this game is so far over your head you cant even begin to imagine.

P.S. I'm not going to argue the upper end of TKA as i'm sure it has problems (just as every other class does) but ... i've watched Master TKA's take down Bounty Hunters and Pistoleers in PvP so it's obviously not a completely worthless class. Most of you posting on these boards knew that SWG was released in beta form and you bought it anyway. Change will come, some semblance of balance will happen. If TKA is what appeals to you, play a TKA.

i dont remember anyone saying it was hard to get to novice tk???? in fact, NOBODY that i have read has said a word about unarmed fighting....this forum is for teras kasi, your statement is about brawler. you arent doing it faster than most of us did. its once u get into tk that it takes longer. there were plenty of master tk's in the first 2-3 weeks of the game. i met a couple.

Thats odd, I've read about 2349087324598 posts on this very board about how hard it is to hit even Novice TKA...oh look theres a couple on the front page now *blink*

At any rate, sorry if I offended you. Ill hit Novice and will havethe first level of at least one skill tomorrow, possibly 2 if I OD on Mt Dew and grind hardcore. Taking into consideration the total amount of xp needed to hit Master TKA and the xp per hour a TKA is capable of, it shouldnt beall thatlong before I can comment on Master TKA.

On top of this, you come here blabbing of how fast you can run through brawling but you do it with a friend master ch (ops, "near master", sorry) providing you of items and creatures and letting you harvest mobs that normally you would have no chances to even approach ?

You are insulting all the people who has not a master ch or doctor or whatever friend able to powerlevel them.

Congrats to your friend for the nice powerleveling. Shame on you, sorry - have the honor of not blab about how easy it is at least.

uh, obviously the problems discussed in this forum are for TKN and above.

Pre-elite class is pretty much a moot point because its very easy to get through with almost any class.

also, i dont think u are taking into consideration that once u get into tk the creatures give u MUCH MUCH less xp, so you ahve to fight harder creatures that hurt you more and take longer to kill. its not just the amount of xp changes to get to master tk, its that they are harder to get.

and no, i swear i have never even seen one post about it being hard to get to tk novice. if there are those posts then they are little children that dont understand how to play games * i mean that literally*

u sure u are in the right forum? this is for teras kasi artists, not brawlers. i could imagine those posts being on the brawler board...but here? *shrug* oh well.

How about this. I bet I can come to your server, or a neutral server if you play Ahazi. You be there when I enter as a newb and I bet I can show you a Novice TKA tag in 4 days. No help. Think of a good cross server wager or same server wager and i'll gladly prove to you how easy it is.

what are you talking about?!?!? sheesh. nobody cares about brawler! or novice tk. everyone here reached it in one week (depending on how many hours we play some times 2-3 weeks but thats besides the point)

Dunno, but like I said, it shouldnt take all that long to see Master TKA. Then, who knows, maybe i'll be here griping with the rest of you about my character that cant kill a tailor in PvP, but as far as PvE it doesnt look that hard. I'm sure I wont besoloing Krayt Dragons for uber xp but I have a funny feeling that there are critters in this game that can be taken down relatively easy with minimal downtime (id bet if you did board searches, there are even some listed on this very board), hell, it might even be worthwhile to group every now and then.
