I am a TKM & love this profession as it does fantastic against everything except Fencers in melee battles .
How do you beat someone that has such nice defenses like the Master fencers do ?
They can't be knocked down & war cry doesn't seem that effective either .
Thanks for any advice offered

Join them! TKM can beat any enemy that is unbuffed. If the enemy is buffed, you have a big problem. Overall, fencers are the strongest melee PvP profession. If we ever get another damage type, we might stand a chance.

Ummm,join,or well,RUN lol.
Yeah you cant really KD a fencer because of their insane defenses vs. KD(assuming they stack heh),and you will miss alot ifthey are using CoB.So uhh run, unless they dont have armor, then go for a low pool,or get someone to help you.
From my experience, the only way to beat em is to not try and "solo" them, get help,or try and score a DOT with another profession, because the DOTs go through CoB(not like a DOT can miss heh)

As a fencer myself I'll have to say, it's not that hard.
Get some 39% stun armor and we wont scratch you

simple. I posted on how to beat them awhile back.
1.intimidate
2. unarmed stun
at this point you can either spam kd2 to knock them down, or dizzy then posture change. or do w/e bc their defenses and dodge is now.... zilch.

Master Fencer Defense Vs. Stun: +0
The trick is getting the Intimidate to stick (MF DvIntimidate = +20). But once you do, you're gold. Spam Stun til it sticks then keep them debuffed with the various debuff attacks while you work over their mind stat. Most fencers go for a stun baton or gaffi stick, but these are higher mind stat weapons, and will eat up their mind pool with specials (unless you've run into someone who has both a dancer AND a musician buff + mega food and drinks).
Keep that intiimidate and stun ON them. That is your key.

You are all wrong ! !
Because Unarmedcombo2 is SOOOOOOOOOO bugged to hell, it misses 1 every 12 hits. So spam it. Spam that attack, sneak in a KD2, or a dizzy, or a lunge, or anything. Wanna piss them off even more? Take off your armor and say look, i can kill you w/o armor.

Either your KD will be ineffective (Master Fencer D vs KD = +50), will miss (Master Fencer Melee Defense + COB = +220), or they will get back up afterwards(Master Fencer D vs Dizzy = +40). Sure, you can try to KD them, but sticking the intimidate and stuns should be your highest priority, so that these defenses don't kick in as well. Also, intimidate isn't a to-hit roll, something Fencers are adept at avoiding.
Remember, in a fight vs a Fencer, you also have a little bit of time. They don't have any direct mind-hits (Scatter Hit is the best they've got), and they do less damage per-hit than you do. They will probably try to blind you and dizzy you first off, and then go for a lunge. Also, many fencers stack Master Brawler into their template, so watch for the ranged KD. If it happens, bide your time, stand up slowly, and then apply your debuffs. More often than not it'll be a pretty even fight, but if you just remember to use your debuffs (Intimidate and Stun most of all) you have a better chance against an experienced fencer.
