Go Wookiee. Awesome new Armor. The extra HAM doesn't play a factor after you're buffed. What's +200 health when you have +2700 buffs?

Anyway, I rerolled my human and made a Wookiee. I love him. Everyone loves the Wook.

Well, I've decided to reroll my alt, and make him my PvP toon. My temnplate will be melee, based off of TKM. WIll include some stuff from fencer, swordsman, pistoleer, and also mbrawler. So Im wondering, what species should I do? Here are the few I'm thinking...

Trando - nice TKA bonsues, but no boots or gloves, and low mind stats
Fish - highest mind ham
Human - high mind 2ndaries, and I wouldnt have to reroll
wookiee - nice new wook armor, and some extra ham
zabrak - equilibrium

As you can see I've narrowed it down alot.

So anyways, what do you guys think? From a purely PvP tactical standpoint, which would be best?

Thanks

Twi'lek - Sexy Lekku.

I think the answer is obvious.

Eh... I'm a trandoshan and it's true that we are the only species specifically designed for unarmed attacks. That makes it a cool species for a TKA.

Also, what you said isn't accurate about trandoshans. Our mind is fine, it's our action that is hosed up. Our mind secondaries can go up to 500/600 which is pretty good. Our action secondaries, though, are stuck at 450/400 which sucks. Consider that EVERY SINGLE TKA ATTACK has the same health and mind cost, but has 150% action cost (look here for specifics) and you'll see that it's action that really kills a lizard.

If you want to do PvP well, make a human, put 400 into all non-mind skills, and put 1100 into mind and 950 into your mind secondaries. Then just make sure to get doc buffs all the time (not hard to find).

My other toon is a mdoc so I'll be buffed all the time, so the question is: are the mind stats more important than those +10s to accuracy, speed, and damage (or whatever the exact bonuses are for trando, cant remember off the top of my head).

Yes.

I've been able to play with templates on Test Center 2 when testing the new Jedi quests, and I've found that those mind bonuses are just so much more important. The best entertainer buffs aren't going to ever come close to even mediocre doctor buffs, and let's not forget how vulnerable mind is in PvP.

And the armor holes that trandoshans have to deal with really blow.

Keep in mind that every TKM has speed capped anyways, so speed bonuses are nothing. Accuracy and damage bonuses are ok but when you've already got more than a +200 in both another little bonus isn't going to matter a lot.

I love my character. If I had a chance to keep everything I have but change him to human I wouldn't. But it's only cause I'm attached to him, I know objectively that trandos are inferior to humans and probably even wookiees in TKA, which is pretty sad.

Not to someone with underworld 1! I love going into a cantina and seeing two Twi'leks talking in lekku and jumping into the converstaion. It never ceases to freak them out at first!

Not at all. Actually they're probably the third best after humans and mon calamari.

Wookiee max Mind stat is 1100, max Focus is 650, max Willpower is 600. If you max those out, your Mind costs won't be bad at all. With brandy and ahrisa they'd probably be nothing.

For simply having better options for stats migrates, I'd go with a human. Zabrak's main fault is the really low focus. You pretty much HAVE to use dancer/musician buffs + brandy and arisa, so you tend to be limited more on you food and drink.

Odd thing is, I hardly ever use mind like that when I switch to my pistols. Fencer can also be pretty rough on mind if you use a stun baton, but isn't that the main reason to use any fencer in the first place? Other than defense stacking, of course.

I thought the NGE couldn't be any worse than the CU, but I was wrong.
