Q.) Is there a reason why I only do 10-20 damage with Unarmed hit 3 against people that are buffed and wearing good composite armor?

A.) Because good composite armor has 80-90% kinetic Resists.

Q.) Why on earth did they make it like that? In PvP anyone can be practically invincible to a TKM that is buffed and wearing comp. If they can heal themselves that makes them all the more invincible. Why is TKM such a useless PvP profession?

I was testing this out and I dueled this person wearing good composite armor, and who was buffed and it took me nearly 10 minutes to incap the person, (whowas not fighting back at all). Allthe persondid was heal andalso had good mind enhancing food. Is 10 minutes a realistic incap time in real PvP WHEN COMBAT MEDICS CAN INCAP YOU IN LESS THAN 10 SECONDS BY SIMPLY THROWING SOMETHING AT YOU??.. and not just in a test to see how Crappy TKM really is in PvP?

How long have you been playing? Armor hasn't always been [as] powerful as it is now. The problem is, the devs never expected us to become as powerful as we are now. Armor was never supposed to be like this. We were never SUPPOSED to be able to go out and take on an entire lair of Rancors by ourselves. This is why both armor and doctor buffs are being balanced as part of the combat balance. TKA is not useless, and I think it will definitely show after the balance.

How can a TKM's Punch only hit for 5 damage, and not go through the armor....... And then have a Combat medic throw something in a huge arch at you from 60m out and have it penitrate your armor and do 500 damage every 5 seconds? what sense does that make Ny-Lac?

I think the devs try to see things that are very much not like the real sw world and make it more like the sw world. Right now, in order to be competitive in anything, you need armor. So about 80% of people who fight in the game wear armor. In the real SW world, I think i say about 10% of the people/creatures wearing armor. I would say that pretty soon, armor will be very much like it used to be in the old days... just for certain occasions, not all the time, which it pretty much is now.

jus how i see it anyways

I understand what you're saying, I'm just saying that things are going to be fixed (hopefully.)

But if I may go out on a limb and be realistic for a moment, it DOES make sense. Try punching the next thick metal plate you see. At least you could use your imagination and say the poisons eat through armor...very...very...quickly...

I get your points, but I feel with the current PvP andPvE system, what would make sense would be In PvP armors effectiveness is greatly reduced, and in PvE it is greatly enhanced... That makes sense to me, what do you all think?

Sorry, forget to mention this:

Plus, do Combat Medic poisons even have to go through the armor? It seems like they totally bypass the armor. I'm not sure, can someone clear that up? I'm not big on PvP.

It all just boils down to the armor being totally out of whack right now. Thats whats causing the balance issues.

About the realistic punching steel thing, I beg to differ. I have friends that are Kung Fu masters that have trained with Bruce Lee and Chris Chan and Ernie Rodriguez, who is my Teacher currentlyand theyTrain with steel and Steel ball bearings, and their wooden Teak dummies, and Concrete. To a real Life Kung Fu master Steel is nothing, Because their Bones are as hard assteel. And to be realistic about the poison, It doesnt take years of hard training to throw a posion, it does to be able to punch steel and break it. Hence, anyone should be able to be a combat medic and throw poision.

Not meaning any offense to the CMs, but the Combat Medic profession has been asking for a nerf for a long long time. I'm kind of interested to see what happens to them after all this is said and done.

And yes, in the game posions are unnaffected by Armor, the totally bypass everything and kill you practically instantly. And if the person doing it to you is a real **edit**, they'll blackbar you while their at it.

But we're not exactly Kung Fu masters. I know the fan stories show the TKAs to be elite martial artists, but the fact is in the game we're more like glorified bar fighters or kick boxers.

I supposed I could have picked a person who wasn't actually a martial artist to say that to.

So your saying I trained Hard in TK for 4 months Fighting thousands of creatures and NPC's just to be a glorified kick boxer or bar figher....????? what are you talking about.....?

I may not be a martial artist but I can watch my character and tell that he's not some elite Kung Fu master, or the Star Wars equivilant. He's got a few spin kicks and a few leg sweeps. And he can punch things. Hard.

But thats beside the point anyway.
