wow, i did not even think about this...when we are snared/rooted they can still hit us and we stay snared? yet moves like warcry or paralyze cancel with damage?
it seems fair to me that any move that stops somebody from fighting should cancel if you hit them. it should be like a breather, for heals or taking cover, not a way to beat down your opponent while they cannot do anything to stop you.
i think that would be a positive change.
and by the way, all i did was remove my lunge icon from my toolbar and replace it with advanced leg sweep and knocked down the person i was dueling everytime i used it. maybe you loose the distance, but we still have the kd.

Pre curb it did either posture change or knockdown at master brawler. Post curb they not only accidentally put the wrong description in they mistakenly coded a knockdown into the move itself. ooops, how could that have happened.

I don't have a screenshot, nor a memory,ofwhat it said before - but for instance Kodan's SWG Profession Calculator (which is clearly pre pub-18 and has taken all data fromthe game)states Lunge as "This melee attack has an extended range potential".
Sounds like the fixed it, not nerfed it. Strictly speaking.
Personally I think it's fine... kind of, it IS in a Basic Profession after all. However, the Fencers could do with some love on their Advanced Lunge - maybe a posture change or re-instated knockdown -all Lunge's could do with some more damage though.
