it was one of the few ways we could actually catch up with a range user... knock them down when they are at 15m. Was our Only defence currently Vs Snare/Root... I knew it was going to get fixed... but i thought Root/Snare was going to get changed first.
Guess not.

OK all, Officially the response is
Lunge was never meant to actually have a knockdown effect, therefor it was changed to reflect what it was meant to do.

u haven't lost the ability to knock some one down, what's the big problem??
snipers dont kill in 1 shot either. jedi dont slice you in half in one swing.
comparing this game to rl is the most useless arguement i can think of.
bottom line is- it wasnt an overpowering move, it was balanced. noone called for the nerf.

I posted the response as well. The problem is that if you are either a fencer or swordsman, you do not have an advanced knock down ability. In fact if you are just swords, you have no KD attack at all. While yes I know this is not the swordsman/fencer forum, they also do not get the advanced KD like Pike and TK do. I still think they should put the KD effect back in lunge......
But if not, then they seriously need to add more damage, and maybe chill out the action cost a bit.

And TK don't get area attacks or bleed attacks
it is balanced, different profs get different skills
tho I agree on damage.
