If you had a Katarn Knuckler, what would you slice it for? Im thinking crit damage (I have the swordsman crit attack already)

i've heard that critical attack slices are broken right now. I read that the best slice is 3 in damage, 1 in speed and 1 in crit, though the crit won't help right now if it is broken.

I'm trying to figure out what to do also, the slicer reccomends full speed slice.
Also what kind of price quotes are you guys getting?? I know this stuff is looted components but man where talking big bucks to slice a weapon now...

Most of us old-timer smugglers have lots of AUKs and WUKs saved up which after today can be convered to the new smuggler tools (with the majority of the tools being lvl2 tools (simple kits)). Initially the cost won't be that high (except for smugglers trying to make a large profit...which actually falls inline with the profession anyways), but you won't see the REAL price jump until the supply of smuggler tools begins to really become rare when all the converted tools are gone (since any level 2+ slice requires a specific looted tool for each slice level). Right now the tools are dropping in some very difficult areas such as DWB, which no one really wants to go through just to get a few tools. Are 100k+ slices on the horizen? If you ask me I'd tell you absolutely given what smugglers now have to do to get slicing components. Now if you were to go out and get your own kits\parts most smugglers will give you a big discount.

i think i would take the SAC slice
There is only speed, damage, and crit, so SAC slice is irrelevant.

LOL, given I have sold a few triggers to the guy so I know what they are going for on flurry, a full speed slice is looking around 500K+, according to him..
I am still looking around, at price and also because I want to give the profession time to "get a handle" on the new system.

500K??? Damn...
Good thing I've got a friend who's a good Krayt kiter - already have fifteen trigger assemblies.

500k is not incredibly surprised...he's a smuggler after all. I have not started slicing yet...still getting things in order and thinking about my pricing model, but the market will really change after a month or two when the majority of AUKs\WUKs have been salvaged and used and we are left with only looted stuff.

And how long does it take to take down a krayt? Quiet some time even without kiting itand what is that time spentworth? Thats what will be driving slice prices (and component prices)...its now about how much time of that collector\smugglers is worth. Paying 500k for a looted component would be easily 750k for that one slice you get for that component (at least in my book). Slicing components for higher then a level 2 slice are pretty much now going to be limited to elite players with lots of money which is unfortunate. I liked selling slices for 5k a pop since mostly any player could afford that. Pitty.

I will slice my katarns for damage. More speed will just chew the action up. Get them sliced for damage, get that max damage up to around 900 and the DPS will kick over 600+. Throw a damage pup on that and go to town... we're talking a 1100 max damage katarn after all that... a phammer with a 1-1.5 speed refresh...
God almighty.
fyi, the component needed to slice tier 3 damage... an illegal core booster are hard to find. I've looted a hundred delicate triggers (speed slices) and not a single core booster. I've seen them selling for 1,000,000+

Well for that here is what we are talking about:
level 1 speed: 2% increase | 20% customization | no component required
level 2 speed: 4% increase | 45% customization | simple toolkit
level 3 speed: 7% increase | 70% customization | Finely Crafted Toolset
level 4 speed: 12% increase| 100% customization | Delicate Trigger Assembly
level 1 damage: 2% | 20% customization | no component
level 2 damage: 4% | 40% customization | simple toolkit
level 3 damage: 8% | 60% customization | Illegal CoreBooster
level 1 critical chance: 3% | 20% customization | no component
level 2 critical chance: 5% | 60% customization | finely crafted toolset
level 3 critical chance: 10% | 100% customization | Delicate Trigger Assembly
You can get a total of 100% customization on any single item\weapon for slicing. Mix and match however you want as long as you got the millions and find the right smuggler with all the right components (or bring your own).
