Remember, a TKA gets Powerboost which so far gives an extra 500 points of health as a free buff. And our tanking ability is supposed to be from avoidance, not mitigation. We are still the best at defense.

We'll dodge better than heavier classes wearing Armour, I assume - I still think we'll be proficient in tanking. The mitigation really should just be a buffer so you don't get one - hitted, should you actually get hit.

Maybe a stupid question, but when we are, say, TKM/Bounty Hunter wearing an assault armor, will we no longer be able to avoid as many attacks and stuff?

Mestork, wearing armor will negate all of your TKM defenses. So you'll be the same as a BH wearing that armor without having TKM. (Well, not the same but not much better.)

You'll still have your melee defense and ranged defense and (if wielding an unarmed weapon) your unarmed defense. The only thing you will not have is the inate armor.

Supposedly CoB will not work as well with armor too... Unless this has recently changed. (Who the heck knows with this disorganized CU.)

Wow, that's not very good at all. Almost seems like a waste to even have it. It's like wearing a PSG in the old system.

Most definetly not good. From my understanding the TC Armour Smiths have already exceeded that for some of their suits. So much for being the better tank.

Cheers for the clicky on this one Asir I've only just woken up.
Got to go out later but when I'm back I'll get some focus threads on tanking abilities up. I'm worried it might be a touch low but then I havn't looked at the stats on Adv Core Armour etc yet, & then CoB plays a factor of course.

Seems a bit low, well atleast we can wear a psg to go along with it. Helps against ranged only, though

I was TKA / Rifles on testcenter, and noticed that ubese recon armor absorbed a little over 50% of the damage, and that without armor on (so using innate armor) I was absorbing a little bit less than 50%.
Haven't tried out battle or assault armor yet. And the ubese armor was from the frog, not crafted.
