i had the same results being unbuffed with my old toon who was a master swordsman and a master commando (at different times). when you are unbuffed you need to group. simple.

this is the best profession i have used yet. i cant wait until my template is finished to see how that works.

if you are jedi and you complain, i have one question for you. how many remember permadeth, kenetic damage lightsabers, and lightsaber TEFs?

As useless as anything else.

All professions use specials that will drain HAM like a punctured gas tank unless you buff up.

*keep in mind that i'm aTKM,MasterFencer, Master Brawler, and 3/3/4/0 Medic*

As a teras kasi, i can go to Fort Tusken with only Varasian Brandy and survive perfectly fine. I have also taken on aMaster Swordman that is fully buffed and had composite armoronly w/ Varasian Brandy and Synthsteak. So I think it's perfectly fine without buffs... you can spew out quite a few specials before you drain your HAM... unlike most other professions.

Actually, I can take just food and drink and use Combo1, and I can take on red cons with a VK with minimal downtime.

If you have your stats migrated right we can be decent unbuffed fighters.
But with the typical minimum health/action maximum mind stats setup you basically cant use specials without healing every 5 seconds.

/agree

I spend most of my time unbuffed, only food and drink. I reserve my HAM by unequipping my vk's if I don't deem them necessary

useless against high-end PvE perhaps, but definetly not at mid-level or lower. I have only just started down the TKA road and it is relatively easy compared to the other proffessions I have tried out.

Unbuffed in PVP actually works almost as good as being buffed. We have great toughness and practically0 ham costswithout the VK equiped so we cantank really well without armor against anyone. If you have mind food/buffs, it's really no different than fighting buffed. The damage thatother melee does to us is lowered by mitigation and toughness, so all you have to do is heal every once and a while. The only way to dieis if you get knocked down, they have uber weapons/DOTs,or, just like normal buffed/armored PVP, death by mind.

With some medic, and wearing no armor(save a helmet), and mind food,it'seasily possible totank for a long time againstdefense stackers, rifleman, swordsman, pretty much anything but good pikeman with good DOTs( even then you'll last until you're action/health is blackbarred from fire) and BH pistoleers.

With my template, I can easily hold my own against anyone, except those BH pistoleers(they tear me up because they kite like mofos, have good defense, and outdamage my ability to heal with those nasty health attacks). I just tank my opponent and apply states while crazily healing(and hopefully have powerboosted), land a knock down, switch to rifle, and tear them apart.

I've been overt unbuffed for the last week on Bria, and have fought a few buffed overts every day. Only lost once because I wasn't powerboosted and was switching tomyVKs, so I couldn't heal with the switch delay. My PVP ratingrises every day
