I have been working on what I thought might be a fun tameplate having TKM with Master Powers and cpl blocks of other force ability. I'm trying to find out if my innate Jedi armor is stacking with my innnat TKM. i don't believe it is but I I could use you guys help.
What percentage of dmg is your innate armor mitigating?

They don't stack. It is one or the other with all armours, TK innate and Jedi Innate count as different armours in the same way TK and Battle armours are different.
TKM is about 48%
TKM is about 48%

So is that less than what high-end armor is mitigating? Is armor stronger than our innate armor?

I've been working with TKM in TC. I tried adding Swordsman in with it so I could add the heavier armour. I am trying to find out if the 2 different armours stack or not...but I can tell you I could take on Jedi like that.
my Innate was mitigating 60% oft the damage

Innate does not stack with armor. Its one or the other.

Yeah they don't stack. But the real question is, does real armor such as battle and assualt armor, give more protection( mitigates more damage) than TKM's innate armor? I ask this because if armor mitigates more, isnt TKM's role a little less purposeful if we can't mitigate as much damage as those TKM are tanking for?

another question I have is if I have TKM, and another elite prof say carbines...
could I use a carbine while wearing no armor and still benefit from the TKA inate armor?

Armorsmith here, lurking looking about this topic as it has me concerned.
TKM's armor is 6000 points according to Blixtev which works out to 48% in the new system. Yes we can make better, but also our armor is going to cost about 2-5 times as much as now if resource usage stays the same.
Just to let you know the point system (that 6000) is on a diminishing return formula so9000 is not 50% better than 6000. its more like 8% better. 60% resist at 10000 points seems to be the max armor acheiveable in the new system.
You guys are getting awesome armor for your situation. If it works with other weapons besides unarmed and fists, AS's are goners haha

Yes well we will be fine for PvE groups being a tank and all. PvE is more predictable and you don't have to perfect character conditions unlike PvP. TKM will be useless as PvP, mostly because while TKMs are mitigating 48%, the lvl 80 Melee or Marksman has his or her 10000 point armor on. So we take more damage, mitigate less, deal less damage then says a swordsman with his 10k point armor and die before because his armor is better. In pvp, 48% to 60% a near 20% different is crucial even if you aruge ,"Be a better fighter", TKMs alone will be at a natural disadvantage.
Should not tanks mitigate the most damage? Especially, if we dont deal as much damage because we are tanks.

good point but don't forget everyone won't have battle armor...
so people in recon will have less than 60% kenetic resist, and people in assault armor will have less than 60% energy resist.

so the 10k armor is for battle armor and it goes down from there? Is recon, the lightest armor, mitigating more than 48% ? If so, even then TKMs "tanks" mitigate the least amount of damage at elite master professions.

Sorry i forgot to mention, without uber, and i mean super-uber-duper, enhancers armor will NEVER get close to 10000 points. I think our craftable max is somewhere around 7200 points without enhancers for battle and 8200 for the high end of assault and recon armor. Which adds around 4-8% resist. Sure it will still add up in PvP, but dont think your seeing 10000 point armor anytime soon.
