OK heres the armor working. 10000 point armor is max on any resist. Recon has higher ENERGY at a cost to KINETIC resist. Assault has higher KINETIC and lower ENERGY. Battle has ENERGY and KINETIC being equal.
Craftable max without enhancers looks to be 7200 for battle, 8200/6200 energy/kinetic for recon and 8200/6200 kinetic/energy for assault.

Battle = 7200

If you think about it, having the ability to switch between energy(VKs) and kinetic(unarmed), Recon and Assualt will be better matches in PvP because they will ideally only have 200 points on TKMs.
So TKM=not such a good choice for PvP when it comes to those high damage dealing professions. Probably one of the worse, if not worst, when it comes to PvP based on mitigating. Only because they didn't make TKMs as strong as they use to be.

Teras Kasi Artists are experts at avoiding damage. TKAs have several utility abilities to further help them survive standing toe to toe with the most powerful opponents in the galaxy. Their damage output is only moderate however making them less than ideal for taking opponents on their own.

TKMs have less damage dealing, and supposely more defense. However, no armor, except Innate which is the lowest of all armors and there is no clear abilitys in the TKM tree that allow for "experts at avoiding damage". It just doesn't look good from the respect.

You got the first part right, but just have to remember that those numbers i put down are our theoretical maxes (perfectresources )on crafting as found by someone else, not me.
I agree you guys are the tanks and the innate armor doesnt really make you the tanks... I dont knwo what does. I dont play a TKM, just was posting about the armor
Hopefully you guys have dodges and other skills that make up for it, but cant be used with other weapons. So not everyone will be a TKM stacker...

Don't think Defender will stack with TK... i will try it though. Be nice if it did, but I think it would get nerfed real quick.
Hmmm..... ok.. so I was kinda thinking of not doing TK for master defender... but hmm ok more power to ya
