Same thing happened to me in the 3 times I tried it. No "...lost in unconsciouness" message or anything. It just drains all my HAM bars and leaves me still lying on the ground.

same here. here's the change they made: /force doesn't just wake you up, what it does is significantly reduces your incap timer. for example, if your incap timer is at 120 and you use /force successfully, you lose all your ham and your timer drops to like 10 or 5 or something else very low (when compared with 120).

what i don't like is that with 1 ham, all it's going to take to drop you again is a wiff of bad breath. say you get dropped by a rifleman with /snipe in pvp. you use /force right away and get a good timer roll and get up almost right away. the rifleman uses /snipe on you, but since you aren't incapped, it doesn't kill you. instead, it does thelittle damage that it always does, and incaps you.

it seems that all /forceofwill is good for is delaying the inevitable hehehe

Force of will seems broken. I have had my HAM bars jump down to next to nothing upon a successful force of will, only..... i don't get up. i'm still incapped. That's cute, devs. So, i just... what? Lowered all my ham bars because it's cool to see an orange-ish 1200 float over my head, as i lose my remaining health and action, and not gaining a hint of mind?

and i do realize someone posted SOMETHING like this, but from what i read it's not the same. This time, i wasn't lost in unconsciousness. My HAMs dropped like they normally would upon a successful FoW, but i remained on the ground, unconscious...

that is not what they changed. it was bugged yesterday. I used it three times today, three successes and it worked correctly every time.

I'm glad it works for someone, but it's still bugged for me.

Some more information for you guys, I'm getting incapacitated from the health bar, use force of will, mind drops to ~ -80 or so, and I'm still incapacitated, only now it's in the mind bar.

If you use a nuclear missle to kill a fly, you won't have one dead fly. You won't have a fly left at all. =)

Force of will does have it's uses in PvP.

I was involved in a large PvP battle in Theed the other day. I'd incapped someone, and before I could DB them, I got incapped from rangeby someone else.

So, we're both lying there incapped. The other guy's probably lying there grinning about me getting incapped before I could deliver the coup-de-grace... so I force of will, stand up and DB him

Admittedly, I got incapped and DB'd myself 2 seconds later - but it was very satisfying

There are a few issuses with Force of will at the moment.

1) It seems as though AI changes were made to NPC's. Previously when using force of will you could get back up, sit down and recover your HAM enough to either finish your opponent or burst run away, now with the new AI changes it seems as thoughI'm either attacked as soon as I stand back up, or shortly there after. Thus I'm left completely defenseless, and typically incapped or DB'd the second/third time.

2) I understand that force of will requires alot of HAM to preform, however it should not reset your HAM to 1. This is completely insane. Even in PvP, standing back up from an incap with 1 HAM is useless you'll be incapped again shortly there after. The way I think force of will should work is as follows:

I'm a wookiee with Health of 1650, action of 1350, and mind of 600. Lets say I'm incapped in one shot by a night sister and all she hit was my action. When I force of will back up it should add up my Remaining health value and my remaining mind value subtract the required "Will" cost (lets say it's half of my mind 300) and divide by 3. Thus giving me a resultant Health of 650, Action of 650, and Mind of 600 (it would be 650 but It's moved down because of the 600 mind cap on my character). This way when I stand I've got enough HAM to hit burst run away from the scene, revive a group member before they die, heal a pet, or finish off my attacker before they come in for the DB.

3) Finally force of will has been bugged recently. You'll use force of will and it sets all your ham to 1, your supposed to stand up but you never do and your forced to wait for the incap timer to finish counting down.

I really wonder if the devs think that force of will is working as intended?

If they made FoW like that it would be insanely powerful. If you had doctor buffs and you got mind incapped, then you'd get right back up with still a thousand or so HAM in each bar. It would take much longer to kill you because instead of just having to take down just one HAM bar, you'd have to take down all three of them entirely in order to keep you from getting up. At least with the way they have it now, it's just a way to get out of trouble if the situation allows you to instead of letting you get right back up from incap in fighting form. Would be way too unfair, IMO.

I'm wondering...if you have been incap'd and you're lying there with X, Y, and Z values for your HAM, and you FOW, if the timer is reduced to say, 10, and you get up, meditate, and powerboost, will you be incap'd again because it removes half of your original base mind (going lower than 1) or will it take whatever it is you have after an FOW and halve that?

If it's the latter, then you can powerboost right after getting up and you'll get your 50% of your mind added back to everything.
