If they made FoW like that it would be insanely powerful. If you had doctor buffs and you got mind incapped, then you'd get right back up with still a thousand or so HAM in each bar. It would take much longer to kill you because instead of just having to take down just one HAM bar, you'd have to take down all three of them entirely in order to keep you from getting up. At least with the way they have it now, it's just a way to get out of trouble if the situation allows you to instead of letting you get right back up from incap in fighting form. Would be way too unfair, IMO.

Well first of all the example I gave was just an example, and doesn't take into account buffs of any sort. When was the last time you were in a battle and only had a single pool dammaged anyways? The entire point here is that Force of will is practically useless if all you can do is stand up and not defend yourself. If your in PvP your already targeted even though your incapped so when they come in for the death blow it doesn't take more than hitting the regular /attack command to lay you back on the ground. In PvE you can stand up, but if you move the enemy will re-aquire you, and if you sit there with the new AI changes they will re-aquire you in a short period of time anyways.

The way this is currently working your almost better off waiting for the incap time to run down at least that way you won't get incaped 3x in 15 min and die.

Yes modifying force of will to the solution I posted above would make it very powerful, but force of will isn't exactly a skill that's very reliable currently. It works roughly 1 out of every 5 or so times for me, and as far as I can tell there's no way for a player to increase his chances to succeed in using the ability. So it's not likely that you'd be able to use the ability 2 or more times in a row.

At the very minimum force of will should leave you with enough HAM to burst run away from the place where you've fallen, and at the most it should take your remaining health, mind, and action pool values and distribute them evenly across the board. At least this way you could say to yourself "Force of will is worth attempting at this time" or "I'll wait for the incap time to run out and take my chances that they won't come in for a death blow".

If force of will was implemented the way I've described it would give ranged users a reason to fear the TKA, and allow us to do what we've wanted to do for so long close the gap between a ranged user and us. You wait for the ranged user to come in for the DB, hit force of will and all of a sudden guess what? They are with in our attack range! (if force of will is successful that is) So at this point it would all come down to how muchof the remaining 2 pools you currently have left to distribute. If you had 20 health and 40 mind left it doesn't take a brain trust to determine that your going to need to sit & recover for a while.

In any case I don't think force of will is currently working as it's supposed to be. I mean seriously setting your HAM to 1 is a rediculious cost to pay for the ability to stand up from incap. Especially if you've got a large majority of your remaining 2 pools still left.

As for the "fairness" comment. In all honesty...kiting it not fair to melee players, yet the developers consider this some sort of tatic so it never recieves any nerfing. Because of this I honestly don't see a problem with melee players having an ability that would allow them to "play incap" until the ranged shooters came in for a death blow to suprise the heck out of them by standing up and teaching them why you should never get with in range of a TKA. In fact I think every bloody melee class should have that ability, it would make ranged users second guess attacking melee users in PvP because it's an easy kiting kill for faction points.
