I'm looking for a good VK, but was unsure was is a "good" VK. I'm 2344 now TK, but my current VKs are 1.8speed with 34-147 damage.
What should I look for as a good set, and rough estimate on cost? I'm on bloodfin, so if anyone has a shop recomendation, let me know

find one with a damage slice over 180 max damage at master TK 2.2 wont matter

Is ~180 the highest a VK will go for max damage?
Also, what should a normal strike for a TK be damage wise at my level? I'm only hitting for ~450 or so at this point, just wanted to make sure that was correct.

450 in combat window or is that the numbers on teh screen above the mob
you should be hitting for areound 1200 every (insert vk spd here)
180 plus is good
on starsider ive had some with 35 % damage slice and power up over 220 but those are expensive

Combat window. Normal stike (to say a quenker) is ~400 to 500 per hit. 1.8 speed, 147 max damage on the VK, although it has a +23 range modifier on it.

Yeah, at master TKA the speed won't matter at all because you'll probably already be maxed in that... Go for damage with a high max. My friend has a max 300 VK, but those are pretty hard to get 180+ is good, as these people said.

yeah you can maybe find some 190 but rarely and only because of NS motors I believe and a good slice too, but for all that extra money if you can find one 180+ is great.

Ok, I'll see if I can find a good ~180 damage one tonight. What about the modifiers on it?

Currently I am using a 1.8 speed 205 Max Dmg VK. The avg VKs on sunrunner are 2.2 speed 147 Max Dmg. With about a 25% Dmg slice it will be 185ish dmg. Get a 30+ damage slice and you should break into the 190s pretty easily.

Im on Bloodfin..WE have a Weaponsmith that made a few..and once they are sliced..you can get them about 195 Max Damage.
Then add a Power UP you can hit for about 229+.
Speed doesnt matter..with TKM.

Yes, Nym motors are nice, you will get a max damage (before slice) around 165... that is how people get the 220ish max damage post-slice VK's. I recommend that you buy a crate of normal 147 max damage VK's (25), and a crate of slicing tools (25), and have someone slice them all for you. You will get a few 30-35% damage slices out of them, and they should have a max damage in the high 180's-190's (sell the rest, the speed sliced ones might get as low as 1.5 spd, great forunarmed grinders).
As far as a 300 max damage, it's possible in theory, although I would have to see it to beleive it. I think with some kind of exceptional motor, and a 35% damage slice, you could get close to 300 max damage. That would pretty much be the ultimate weapon in the universe in my opinion, hehe.
