Which is better nad why in pvp and in pve

I would say TKA because of Dizzy and knockdown. however mind hits are really good and can kill some very fast.

TKA is much better right now. No contest. Knockdown dizzy/powerboost/meditate and speed speed speed and lets not forget toughness..

Do yourself a favor... go tka. They are justbetter at the moment, but when their changes on test center go live, they will be vastly better.

oh and tkas get strong mind attacks too.

I have to agree. Save yourself a TON of heartache and go TKA.

lol. This is exactly how it is on the fencer and pikeman forum. "TKA or Pikeman" "Tka or fencer" "You'll have a lot more fun going tka" "Don't do this profession, go tka" lol.

Barring Rifleman, Swordsman and TKA are the only professions (except BH) that can hit the mind. I say "barring rifleman" because I am a Master Doctor, and a slow weapon with enormous mind costs and horrible acuracy at close rangeis not practical... So i am left with TKA and Swordsman.

I currently am quite close to master pistoleer, but i have discovered that it is pure uselessness in PVP... 1) Im dead meat against any BH with eye shot... I am rotten, decintigrated dead meat if the BH has novice medic and stim B - that negates all damage i can do... TKA and Swordsman are the only professions with mind attacks.

Swordsman appears to be more focussed on pure mind damage, but i hear that TKA is just plain better...

Well.. kinda depends..

At the moment on Live Servers, TKA appears to be able to do more raw mind damage than Swordsman can (I know, its ridiculous, but true. I've experienced it first hand..). This could change when all the new melee stuff on TC goes live though.

Basically. Don't choose a profession for what its like in its current state. Everything gets "balanced" eventually

If you are mostly interested in PvP, I wouldn't go swordsman or TKA. Brawlers just don't cut it right now in PvP, you will be very frustrated by your inability to hit moving targets. Brawlers are going to really shine in PvE after this next big patch goes in though.

Are you getting beat by TKAs or Master TKAs? Try getting to Master Swordsman first.

With doctors buffs and the new chef foods (secondary stats), Powerboost is nice but the boost is based on your primary HAM stats - I have gotten up to 525 with all my main stats mitigated to the Max. I would say most people get around 425-450.

If you spam specials, can u get incapped easilywhile boosted?

Without any buffs to secondary stats you always run the risk of incapping yourself spamming specials in any profession. The 450 bonus makes little difference to this (2-3 more specials maybe)

Is KD all that good?

KD is exactly the same as it as for any other profession. The upcoming changes to Warcry will make it largely redundant in PvE, but against humanoid characters if you get KD and Dizzy to stick then they struggle to get back up.

How hard is the grind to MasterTKA?

How long is a piece of String? In my experience Harder than Image Design, Architect, Doctor, Combat Medic, Easier than Creature Handler, Carbineer. Grind to Novice TKA is very slow.

answer about being whooped by tkas: any and all..no really, mostly 3333 tkas beat me, but im going to amster swordsman, then go tka. I wanna be able to kill stormies in 3 hits Yes, ive seen master tkas do that....
