Stormies with 8k ham and 20% kinetic, AR1.

To do 8000 pts of damage, given this, you would have to do... oh lets see....

80% of X is 8k

X = 8000/.8

X = 10k damage to one pool

Yep, my UAHeadHit1 does 3,333 per hit, so that's about right.

swordsman uber the mind pool, but at high ham costs, and low acuracy. I can kill stormies, spaming specials, in about 5 hits...if i hit every time.

AR = Armor Rating. 0=no armor, 1=light, 2=medium, 3=heavy

All player armor is AR1.

FoW = Force of Will. It's a Teras Kasi ability to get back up from being incapped, usable once per hour. i.e. if you get incapped again before the hour reset is up, you're still incapped. It's not the most reliable technique, and it can cause your stats to drop for a long time afterwards, if you're unlucky.

AoE = Area of Effect. Spin attacks, Fan Shot (Pistoleer), 1hblind2/1hdizzy2 (Fencer attacks) etc. all attack things around the main target of your attack. Thus, Area of Effect (it's an old D&D term mainly used to describe Fireball and other spells....adapted for online gaming use).

You've almost answered your own question. 5 hits will very likely turn into 2-3 hits by the time you have Master.

Then go on a big Rancor frenzy or Genosian Cave rampageand get yourself some enhancements for your swords as well.If you get a damageslice to go with then you'll be laughing. Iran Nym's missions for ages to get a good enhancement for my Knucklers so that I would do more damage (44-205) and alsogot some 44-101rancor teeth to improve my Ryyk Blade (36-263).Forums suggest that Genosian Cave is dropping some nice sword enhancements (Yellow Power Cubes ?). Also find out what resources are needed for advanced components and watch out for them (swgcraft.com)- stick an extractor down and befriend a weaponsmith. A lot of playersput time and effort intoimproving their weapons and getting skill tapes to improve their character and this can give you a big edge thatmany people don't consider - The difference between215 and 250 damagecan be huge whenusing specials.

End of the day: Choose the profession you enjoy most and there are a lot of things you can work on to improve your charcter for PvP
