Yes, publish 7 is looming in the not too distant future, and certain aspects of combat professions will be changing. One of the biggest changes that affect us will be in the stacking of defense mods. Defense modifiers will be hard-capped from this publish, which will still allow people to 'dabble' for extra defense, without letting the bonuses get out of hand.
At the moment, the defense caps are thought to be around the 125 mark, however this may change in the future once a clearer image of how this change effects everyone is gained.
Melee attackers will now correctly get their to-hit bonus when attacking targets with ranged weapons.
The effect of the Brawler Warcry special has been modified to temporarily freeze enemies that are not being attacked, instead of pinning a single target - More along the lines of crowd control rather than a dueling tool.

Is this going to be for just dodge/counterattack/block or will this apply to def vs dizzy, def vs kd, etc....
And where did you get the 125 number from?

Well considering he is the correspondent he has access to more information than we do.

Jherad,
Do you know if warcry is being made a radius effect, instead of a cone?

As far as I am aware, the defense stacking changes are limited (at the moment) to the passive dodge, block and counterattack skills, however I have also asked for clarification on how (if at all) these stack with defensive acuity, and whether this is affected by the change.
I believe at the moment that warcry is still going to be a cone effect, however this again will bear more clarification.

Thanks for the update.
I would hope Warcry would be a radius, it kind of defeats the purpose, the cone is a bit tight as it is.

I've seen every defense mentioned except generic "Melee" and "Ranged" defenses: Will these be affected by the hard cap as well?

Try to remember that ultimately the stacking is being removed completely, this cap is just a temporary solution.

Again please post your findings of this TAL.
So far there is NO proof of this or indications that it is even under consideration.
It would not make sense anyway and is a integral part of the game mechanics.

the devs should just fix defenses so it's like TK def v kd and pistoleer def v kd, etc.

I beleave this cap is to include Melee/Ranged and I would imagine they make the caps of KD resist even lower than 100 so that nobody is immune. If you think back to what Thunderheart said about people being unhittable.. the reason they were becoming near unhittable wasnt b/c of Dodge it was b/c of the insanely high Melee and Ranged def. If you dont think that then fight a Rifleman stacker they have no dodge and your hits will be few and far between.
