For straight PvE which would be best? Master TKA/Master CH or Master TKA/Master Doctor?

Any help and the reasons why you suggest what you do will help =)

I chose to go the Doc/tk route...I can buff my own stats and can be a mental primary...so when fighting I have ample mind pool to take attacks. But with CH you can fight more larger targets so much if the pet is taking the brunt of the attack...you could invest a little in medic, but I like the doc route for soloing and doing it on my own feel, plus it helps with pvp proctice to rely on my own abilities rather than a pet.

CH if you want to get into a little bit of PvP.

Doctor if you want to be a good PvEer.

What do YOU like to do?

Figure that out and you know what's best for you.

Personally I went with a little bit of both. I'm going up the Taming and Training lines of the CH tree in order to get good pets (trained by someone else, of course, since I can't teach all the commands). And I'm a Master Medic, which covers all my healing needs. All I can't do by not going Doctor is revive and buff myself, which any doctor is willing to do for a fee (3k creds for a 2k buff on your HAM for 3 hours isn't too shabby IMO) and all I can't do by not going all out in CH is get the biggest pets and have two or three of the lesser pets out at the same time(I'd rather have just one large pet anyway so he takes less damage). I'm almost done with the CH tree and TKM, so I'll see how this works out. I'm really enjoying it so far.

IMHO Master Doc + TK Master is the VERY best PvE combo possible.... sure a master CH can whip their rancors and let them do the damage, but from what I've found when I apply the full line of Enhance D's on myself and spam unarmed 2 (which Ican do because I regen faster then I deplete my pools) I do about the same damage as an AT/ST (1k + damage per hit)... The only limiting factor I have is mind damage... which I'm a mon calmari... I can't count the number of people who have said 'omg a mon calmari TK... lol what made you pick that combo.... well Mon Calmaris have the highest mind and with a marine helm we're pretty much unstopable... What I've been able to actually solo is VERY impressive and exceeds what a master CH / TK master could handle.... Although in PvP I have some major problems, in PvE doc/Tk is the best combo you can do.... BTW any Master Ch, Master TKAwho would like to offer an opinion in contrast to what I'm saying, feel free to send me a tell for a friendly duel... I welcome the challenge

I am Master CH and TK master.

I find this combo really good in both PvE and PvP. For PvE all you need to do is sick one of your tanking pets on something and beat away at the mob/npc without getting hit a single time.. its really good to keep things off ya. I find the combo works well in PvP mostly to help with people who start kiting you.

but yeah.. i haven't had any disapointments in the CH/TK combo, pretty cool =)

you can go the route i'm going,

MTKA

Doc 0-2-3-0

CH 0-1-0-0

Able to use all buffs, and still enough CH to get a grand wrix, which is 100% fire resist for those commandos. Buff the pet and self, you get good terrain negotiation too.

All right, but apart from the sanitation droids, bionic limbs, hyper-drive, moisture vaporators, galactic order, abolisment of slavery, star charts, the compact and efficient central government and interplanetary free trade, what has the Empire ever done?"

"CH if you want to get into a little bit of PvP.

Doctor if you want to be a good PvEer."

Actually, a CH/TK can do PVE just fine, and a Doc/TK can do PvP just great.

The main thing to think about is this: would you more enjoy controlling and handling pets but are afraid that by losing out on doc buffs you'll not be a strong character? Well, don't - if that's you're feeling, go CH and you'll do great. On the other hand, would you more enjoy the ability to buff yourself and your friends but worried that without CH pets you won't be viable? Well don't, if that's what you really want to do, go Doc and you'll be happy.

You'll need 1-1-0-0 to call out a grand wrix or a gsp.

accually

1-0-0-0 to tame one

0-1-0-0 to call one

you get lvl 15 as novice, +10 at 0-1-0-0... wrix is lvl 23 i believe, less than 25 i'm sure.

And Thunder, thanks
