You need to be able to tame the creature in order to call it at its adult level. So yes as a 0100 you could call aGSP while it is a baby, but what good does that do you? Once its past lvl 15 you cant call it anymore.

Actually ekryth, thats kinda what im doing. Im only getting2200 for CH and then i will go as high up the doctor tree as I can and still have TKA mastered. No crafting for me either. I think i will just go up thewound treatmenttree and then see how far i can get on medicine use.

i don't know how you guys keep agro on your pet but i can't seem to be able to do it. i am not even a tka yet and i am having hard time keeping mobs on my mauler. what's your secret?

Greekstreet- yea, I figured that would be the best way to go, but after reading a thread about pvping, I'm starting to rethink things. Maybe I should go pistoleer, carbineer or something. But, I'm still thinking hard towards doctor.

This is exactly what I was thinking of doing. According to my calculations,we would be 1 skillpoint short of being able to being able to buff yourself (using purchased enhance packs). Sodo you want to call a lvl 35 non-aggro pet or buff yourself? If you choose the former you may as well go CH/3200 so you can get a graul mauler. I think that lets you be Doc/0100. I'd hope to have enough CH+Doc experience to be able to switch between the two as necessary - that possible?

Im tka and have some ch skills too, and im enjoying it. PvE is pretty easy, just sick a tanking pet, then go up and pound away with your fists. I also have some medic skills and tried fighting the same creature without a pet. Well my health/action was fine, but I was mind incapped all the time. With pvp, i just went tka without a pet. So for me, Ch is for PvE, and it works nicely. I dont think the doc buffs can outweigh a good tanking pet(not to mention costs less skill points)., espcially with mind damage.

btw, my ch skills are 1/2/0/0 and i use a GSP to tank. I do most of my training on dantooine fighting red cons.

Well so far Ive narrowe my possible choices to the following:

MTKA/MR/novice medic 1/0/0/0

Or

MTKA/MSct//MCH/Novice medic 1/0/0/0

Right now i feel more inclined twards the first choice, because I want my charachter to be doing all the fighting. It might not be the best way to do PvP or to fight huge beasts, but I think it is fun anyways. Anothyer reason is that it appears that almost all TKA are either ch or medics.

I also like the idea of geting +10 defense on ranged and melee.

Any thoughts.

Master tk and master commando would be badass.. and I have thought about it. Too bad there would be hardly any skill pts. to spare. About tanking with CH.. sure that would be great, but I'm imperial and wouldn't AT-ST's be a better tank? So, then I could go doctor.. buff myself.. and still have a tank..

My friend is a Master TKA/Master Commando, and he's so powerful, it's mind boggling. If he can't hit the target and it starts running towards him, TKA suprise!!!
