Thread: Determining HAM costs for knockdown ->
This is where im going to need your help. I don't want whining or ranting, im trying to get together some facts to figure out thedifferences instats related to HAM costs:
Keep in mind, the only 3 attributes that will affect the ham cost are:
Strength (Health Drain Rate): Determines the "burn rate" for any actions that drain from the Health pool, like using a special melee attack. The stronger a character is, the less Health he or she loses when performing strenuous activity
Quickness (Action Drain Rate): Controls how rapidly a player' s actions drain the Action pool. A character with a high Quickness can perform more Action-related special moves or use Action-related abilities (like Burst Running) more often than a character with a low Quickness
Focus (Mind Drain Rate): Affects how greatly a character' s Mind-based actions reduce his or her Mind pool. Essentially, it' s a measure of a player's ability to concentrate when performing certain tasks. A character with a high Focus can accomplish more mental feats in a shorter period of time before becoming mentally fatigued
-----------------------------
1100 -200 900 Health
500 -100 400 Strength
400 -50 450 Constitution
1100 -200 900 Action
350 +150 500 Stamina
350 +150 500 Quickness
600 +300 900 Mind
300 +100 400 Focus
700 -300 400 Willpower
Opiium's(zabrak) stats on the left, Selwynn's (Human)stats on the right
My knockdown cost (no knucklers)= 221
Selwynns knockdown cost (no knucklers) = 80
So from whatSelwynn hasbeen saying, these point differences account for a deduction from my 221 to Selwynn's80. Thats a difference of 141 total HAM.
What i ideally would like is another human, or someone with stamina and quickness ranges similar to those of Selwynns to post the ham effects of your knockdown vs a mob. Your /con to the mob does not matter.
str 625; qui 300; foc 500 (playing doctor atm so not ideal tk stats)
kd2 without knucklers: 206 ham (49 health; 101 action; 56 mind)
kd2 with knucklers: 665 ham (244 health; 271 action; 150 mind)
OK folks, let's have some numbers. Remember, the big number that floats over your head is the total, but if you do the move on a green while you're at full stats and quickly jot down your new totals, you can see how that total number is broken down. I took it slowly, I did the style one time and recorded the stat drop on one stat, healed up and repeated the process until I was sure I had gotten it exactly. If you're quick you can grab 2-3 stats at once but they regen fast, be sure to compare what you think the drop was to the floating total!
I am positive that either selwynn's server has not yet been nerfed OR she is not reporting the total ham drop, just the action portion. With 500 quickness I am almost certain she is reporting only her action portion of the style cost. 101 for me with 300, who knows for you with 350, and 80 for her with 500 qui. sounds about right for the action portion *only*.
she didnt state if she was using kd1 or kd2.
how's the ham usaeage on kd1?
Okay, resubmission time - I didn't heed my own advice and failed to compare my individual stat drops to the total, I actually lost 680 total using both kd1 and kd2 with vks equipped.
str 624; qui 300; foc 500 (stats still slowly in transition but fixed for this test)
kd1/kd2 bare handed: 206 ham (49 h; 101 a; 56 m)
kd1/kd2 with standard ham vk's: 680 ham (249 h; 276 a; 155 m)
Sorry for user error first time round, but these numbers have now been double checked )
Contrary to popular believe I am not here to support the nerfage, only give my personal opinon that based on my gameplay tonight the changes while unforunate, do not warrant the level of overreaction that there has been. There seem to be a plethora of ways to compensate for them, until things are improved, or if they never are.
KD2: 193/626 (unarmed/vk)
- Strength 650
- Quickness 500
- Focus 500
