i have been reading this post as well as the jedi post, and jedi seem to be whining alot about us pwning them in pvp, and how we should not be able to solo them and blah blah blah, who here agrees that the jedi fear the masters of unarmed combat?

Heres what happend, Jedis get their patch in before the combat revamp, they rejoice. Then, Jedis realize that the revamp preps them for the combat revamp, effectivly "balancing" them before the rest of us, then they whiners do what they do best.
So all the other classes have to worry about Jedis wanting to nerf us, when itspartially the fault of their fellow, more whiney, Jedi this revampwhen it did.

Actually in the Star Wars EU a Jedi's enemy besides a Bounty Hunter is a TKM. I think the only TKM mentioned as a real person was Admiral Thrawn I think. My memory could be wrong though. But it has been metioned before by Jedi in the books that they do fear TK.Watch out all you future Jedi. hehe.
Bounty Hunters will flush the Jedi into hiding in the cities of the galaxy, only for the Jedi to face their end at the hands of a Teras Kasi Master hiding in the shadows.

I believe there were two Teras Kasi mentioned in Shadow of the Empire. Only thing stated about them was they handed a bunch of Stormtroopers their asses without taking a scratch, and they shouldn't be messed with.
Darth Maul was a TKA and Jedi.
There was TKA in that horrible fighting game LucasArts made that was hired by Vader to take down Luke and the Rebellion leaders.
The most info on TKAs comes from Star Wars roleplaying guides that state they are the watchers of the Jedi, both dark and light, in case they abuse their powers.

It is amazing how people feel effort to accomplish should mean nothing. They feel that a class that takes 2 days at most to master should be on par with classes that take far more effort to master. A MBH should be able to wipe the floor with a TKM. Alas, they can not. It seems to me that some of the developers got it in their mind that TKM equals some Manga martial artists.

TH took back that comment about TKAs and Jedi. TKAs were not developed in this game to "keep Jedi in check." Quote TH: "No, TK is NOT being balanced by the developers as a SWG profession specifically to fight Jedi. I apologize for the confusion. (This was an old pre-launch discussion point)"

They may have not have been "developed" that way initially, but that is the way they are in the star wars world. Many things have changed since development, and I for one think it would be interesting if we could keep them in check (not saying we be more powerful or they be any weaker, just allow us to get missions for them from npc's or something, maybe if we see an in game jedi acting un-jedi like, it could be our duty to take him out....just a thought.

As a new member to the TKA field, I do have to say that without hearing any comments from anyone, and just going with what I know about TKs in quasi-cannon resources, I'd say that we weren't designed to fight the jedi. We're here as a specific and ultra-deadly form of named martial arts. But I also see, from a Role Playing Game point of view where a character would want to learn the history of the order, and thus, create a new order in the image of the old order.
So in a since, it doesn't matter what they were DESIGNED to do, its the fact that at one time in SW history, we were jedi watchers. So I plan on playing my TK like that, but I'm less PvP more Role play oriented.
The vast majority of TKAs are just that. Teras Kasi artists.

That's because they're not cannon, they're quasi-cannon. But it's absurd to think that to exist it had to be in 12 hours of film.
Apologies for the doubl post, don't know if there's an edit button

The only "accomplishent" of jedi players is unemployment, or enough money to buy on ebay.
Seriously, why the hell should we reward a virtue like "has to much time on his hands to play SWG"?
I'd honestly be in favor of unlocking fs for everyone, and instituting perma death so that when you die once, you can't be jedi any more.
Then we'd start seeing people with *skill* be jedi.
