well i am not gonna be afraid of tkm's after the revamp, cause i am gonna pick up tkm to help my lowly padawan out 
but then again if iAM afraid of tkm while my jedi has that skill i guess that would make me the SWG equivalent of a paranoid schizophrenic? my jedi personality would be afraid of my tkm one i guess.... i am gonna have to consult my therapist about this before the publish for sure

As a TKM I don't think that a Jedi should fear a single TKM. However, even though it is not part of SWG development, I like the idea of TK's keeping them in check. I see no problem witha Jedi who has gotten to big for his britches to fear the wrath of a *group* of 10-20 TKM who have come to kick him down a notch or two. In fact, if there were a group of TKM's on my server who wanted to roleplay this, I'd be all for it. It would just be fun.

Well, having done some testing on TC2. If a TKM was 1 on 1 with a Jedi, unless they are a high ranked light Jedi/mid ranked Dark Jedi(or higher) Master Force Wielder or master defender/master lightsaber, at the moment we can actually do more damage to a Jedi than another Jedi can in PvP.
If they are master defender, jedi toughness does nothing against lightsaber damage but it does defend against our attacks(and give Jedi capped melee defense and good state resists to boots). And a ranked force wielder with choke/intimidate/lightning can do pretty serious damage to a non-jedi.
But, barring those two, as of right now, a TKM with Tantel made post publish 9(Tantel made after publish 9 is live has LS resists) and a good PSG(also has LS resists) would stand a decent chance at beating a Jedi 1 on 1. After the combat balance, however, this will probably not be the case
Also, if they are anything other than knight level or near knight level in PvP, anyone will probably be able to beat them if they use pure Jedi skills as low to mid-level Jedi are much weaker post-publish 9 than they were under the old system.
So, as long as its a lower level Jedi or they don't have a certain skill set, a TKM stands a chance 1 on 1, at least until the combat balance.

TKA vs Jedi- hmm
Jedi has light sabre, TKA swings with knuckles, jedi blocks, tka looses a hand/ arm, tka groans, tka swings with other arm, jedi blocks, tka looses another hand/arm, tka groans, tka kicks, jedi blocks, tka looses leg, tka groans, tka falls to ground, jedi shakes head and walks away...if real life physics applied.
not sure what a jedi has to be afraid of from a tka? in game anyone who has the right skilltapes, enhancesments, *SKILL* can PWN anything with good thinking and sound strategies.

Will people stop using analogies like this. If you want this to happen then get rid of the whole combat system as we know it. Your stun baton tickles me because it does no physical damage. Your Jawa Ion Rifle the same because its made to disable droids, and last I checked I'm not one. I could easily punch you in the through with knuckes and kill you in one hit.
I don't think I need to go on, this is an MMO not a FPS, realism is sacraficed in combat for entertainment purposes in all MMOs.

Teräs Käsi was based on the idea of regulating jedi...more so Dark Jedi or Jedi going dark and abusing the force.
Most of the people complaining know nothing of the EU, i only know this because i stumbled upon it here (ive never read any EU).

No, jedi don't fear TKM, they fear the statement from the Devs that TKM are supposed to be able to handle jedi. There's nothing specifically special about TKM in relation to jedi, its just another cool profession. TKM don't own all other combat professions, so they won't have any advantage in owning jedi.
The reason jedi are afraid of that statement is because of the logical conclusion: If a TKM can own any jedi, what about other professions? Other professions can beat TKM, so if TKM can beat jedi, that also means all other professions can beat jedi too.
If all combat professions can beat a jedi, there's nothing cool about jedi beyond the point that not everyone has one.

There are ways a prof can own a jedi but not other prof... things like lightsaber resists, force power resists, those such things.
