After reading a few posts i have seen or felt that people think that TKA or TKM doesn't really own. Now... I wonder one thing.... Why are there so MANY TKAs around???

I finished my TKM yesterday because one guy on my guild said to me "I can take them all" when we were fighting jantas.. and I with a 0040 BH couldn't do SQUAT against them...

I want to finish a few things of the BH to hunt down jedis and such and to get ready for the jedi quests.. what do you guys recommend???

My CK is 48/200 2.2 speed... is it any good?

Thanks

Well, TK do have some unique moves, such as the ability to heal wounds, poisons and diseases. TK also has the ability to get you up from being incapped by pressing a button. It also is probably the best profession to take on a Jedi (for all the 3000 BH, TKMs). But then again- melee does dominate in this game, especially when it comes to Jedi.

I don't know about that... when I fight an all melee template I tend to set em up with TK, then switch to pistols and rip em to schreds....I have to impression A LOT of the ranged people have clue what they're doing....come to think of it...a lot of meleers too lol

a TKA/brawler master can stand in front of any melee, PvE or PvP, and get:

62% immediate reduction of all damage

mitigation 3 for all melee

intim2's to cut incoming damage to 50%... stacked on the previous advantages

add the offense (limited, but not to be trifled with), support (meditation is a huge skill line), and state-effects. I'd say that somewhere along the line, the TKA profession was endowed with tanking skills. anything else is gravy.

why so many TKA?
Because it's the perfect profession for solo.

You can take huge damage as long as they are not ranged.
You can do ok damage.
And you don't have spent an hour looking for a doc, and beg him to heal your wounds and disease.

Your VK is a good damage dealer.

I usually recommand 2 set of VK :
1 with high damage (min damage is the most important here)
1 with low ham cost (as low as possible).

Unbuffed, ham cost is a problem for a TKA, like any other profession.

Lol, it's true for other profession too you know.

An unbuffed swordsman will have trouble with a powerhammer ham cost.

But he'll be fine with a 2h sword or a 2h axe.

Pretty much sums it up.

TKA, like Doctor, is an almost fully working profession in need of a few tweaks and feature additions. Most other professions have all kinds of broken specials, ham costs, etc.

Plus it's just fun

I have to say that I totally disagree with vortexala.

Doc is for me the most broken profession in the game and is breaking all the others with it.

But that's not the subject.

But it's true that TKA is fun. Other prof are too.

This guy summed up why everyone likes TKA. First of all, the damage and defenses are good. Secondly, TKA complements nearly every profession very well (defensive acuity works wonders with dodge/counterattack/block - do tk4004/master fencer/pistoleer1040 and let someone TRY to hit you without dodging lol). Lastly, with all the above factors, TKA has the meditation line, which seals the deal. It gives the player a very high soloing capaility since you can heal wounds/diseases/poisons and if you get in trouble (incapped) you can save yourself.

In addition to all that, TKM is the second best versus Jedi. I would have to say that a speed-capped swordsman with a 1000 dmg powerhammer can wrip through a jedi in a few seconds (i have witnessed this 1st hand). Next to speed capped swordsman, tkm is a jedi killer if you know what your doing. MagusZDark, melee DOES dominate jedi... their ranged blocking is wwaaaaayyyy to high right now. This is the reason why you see so many tkm/bh's.

Combo2 "works," it just does not report damage correctly.
