Hello mates!
As I near Mastery of the Teras Kasi art, I wonder what profession will better my toon. The goal is not different from most people : solo the game. Iread the sister profession faq and it was a gread read. I cant make up my mind though and I dunno why. Im considering Doctor, rifleman, fencer, commando or Creature handler and even maybe Bounty Hunter. Ive toyed with the idea of the Trimaster but I cant find a real incentive to go smuggler. Spices are too short in duration to be of real use to me.
I'd like to hear from you guys about your experience with these templates to help me make up my mind.

Me and a few others here are using the template:
Master TKA/Rifleman
Pistoleer 0040
Medic 1040
Can do excellent ranged and close combat damage, so could pelt target from afar and when approaches smack it hard. With pistoleer you get increased ranged defense from mitigation. And then you can heal yourself with medic. You should be able to take nearly anything out in the game, and have a pretty good set up for pvp as well.
We'll I am not very far along myself, just what everyone tells me.

If you want to go solo I'd say go doc. You can heal yourself and buff yourself (and you expressed disdain for spices, which I admit I share, a 10 minute boost followed by crippled stats is not my idea of fun).
Maybe TKM, 4440 Doctor, and 0300 Swordsman? The Swordsman is so you can pull out a power hammer on kinetic resist NPCs.

Doc would be great, but my template: Buffed body and mind, plus food an drink. I can solo most med to hard mobs.

A lot of it has to do with your preferences, really. I love the state heals you get at Novice Doc. I don't like spending time waiting in line for buffs, so I got 0440 Doc to self-buff. At Doc 2000 you get poison heals and at Doc 4000 you get disease heals. Mix and match to suit your needs.
Personally, I am a big believer in stacking the primary defenses, so I picked up Fencer 4000. With 2 Akuan rings on, I'm at +131 melee and +124 ranged defense. I chose the Fencer 4000 over the Doc 4000 because I found I wasn't getting diseased that often. What I ended up with overall was TKM/Doc 3440/Fencer 4000.
My big weakness, though, is the lack of offensive variety. I like the power hammer point made by an earlier post in this thread as I'm currently stuck with kinetic damage only. When buffed, though, I can tank a Krayt without breathing hard. I have trouble taking them down, but that's what hunting partners are for 8). With high level critters like that, I stand there and take the damage while healing others.
I hope that helps.

I like my Master TKA / Master Commando templete good for PvE as well as PvP unless u go up against a templete stacker then you will get beat . best part when u go up against a mob with 90% kinetic resists pull out your flamethrower and shake and bake

I plan on adding Doc to my template. Maybe some pistols.
Only thing it seems a TKA needs is some quick healing.

Mind telling me how pistoleer gives you more ranged defense?
Mitigation does not stack, and last I remeber you only get melee defense from Pistoleer

Thanks a lot for all the answers. After looking at each skills, I can see why fencer is so useful. You get huge bonuses with 4000 tree. Commando looks great too but Ill have to master marksman. Ill give doc a try and i'm grinding medic now. It's a pain... Medic xp is the worst kind.
