Thats all I want to know, in the grand scheme, I plan to go TKM, but what should I get first to make leveling easier. I go to dathomir and fight baz's as well as head to Fort Tusken so I'm not sure if KD1 or the Dizzy + lunge would be better. Power does have the accuracy and speed mods as well, so I cant decide.

With all the KD changed, is getting balance I before power I still worth it?

Before the timer, it would have been Knockdown all the way. but now I am not sure. But I would recommend you get Knockdown first then master power so you can KD + Dizzy since KD does more damage in the process..

so the damage dealt by KD alone is better than the damage and speed boosts that power gives?

POWER. You need to master power first. You need speed and damage before anything else unless you want a long hard road to TKM. Before KD nerft...you would go balance first then master power.... KD is not useless now but its not really worth to get it before you master power...at least thats how I see it.

OK, seems like I will go power first, I'm trying to look down the road to see which will make it easier to master TKA. And the speed and damage bonuses seem like a winner. I was originally thinking Power I, Balance I, Meditation I, then alternate Power and Meditation till IV, then finish Balance. Should I do that or do meditation last. I currently have 0-0-0-1, enough xp to train in one of the other lvl 1's, probably going Power I.

im not a tka yet, but i would say master power, since lunge + dizzy will have the same effect as kd + dizzy

i dont think alternating all the time is a good idea. its always good to focus. but i still think you should get balance 1 first, then climb power, finish off balance, then meditate. for the brief second or 2 that kd works, you can squeeze in another special move that would do 1.5x the damage. that never hurts.

I'm a master TKA, and i can tell you it is my opinion that you should take power first and foremost! The speed and damage boost is your best friend! Second, (and this is all opinion!) is to MASTER meditation. Now i admit meditation 1-3 isn't all that great. It allows you to stop bleeding, poison, and disease (i think in that order). Once you hit master meditation though it REALLY IS WORTH IT!! Think about it, how much time do you spend resting and healing? Even with a doctor it can still take a few minutes to heal severe wounds. With master meditaion you can drop down ANYWHERE and heal ALL your wounds full in just a few moments! Even if ur HAM bars are totally black it'll only take a few minutes to heal FULL!! The damage you still heal normally so having some medic skills or a party medic is vital, but while the medic heals the party damage u can quickly heal your own wounds!

It's also really nice to be able to stop my own bleeding, stop disease and poison without a medic or doctors help.

master balance last, without the KD timer i'd say pick up balance 1 then go meditaion, but now....Go meditation before balance. You'll thank me later.

very interesting, I think since I will have another KD from smuggler I may finish power, then meditation and finally balance. I got power I, and already am starting to see the benefits! Thanks for the advice all, it really will help this grind to master a bit easier

I got balance 1 and then did the power tree. KD has made the difference between living and dying for me several times. I am not master yet. In fact, I am 0-2-4-2. But it seems that balance would be better to get early over meditation. The goal here is to reach your final goal as fast as possible, so power is definately first, as it helps you get the others faster. The only reason I can see to get meditation first is if you want to go on extremely extended hunts where you don't go to town to get healed for days at a time, or if you do alot of pvp and run into commandos with flamethrowers alot (which isn't helping you get xp, btw). So go for balance second because unarmed toughness and miscellaneous defenses are nice. Once you have all that, you'll go through the meditation tree fast enough that you wont notice it being the last one. At least, that's the plan.

KD is worthless if you dont have the speed built up to get 3 hits in when the mob/player is down. Definitely get power first. I found it cost less HAM if I spam unarmedhit2 AFTER I got power 1. Spamming unarmedhit2 is the key to quick and overwhelming victory, especially against unarmored or light armored mobs/players.

I'm with you Nacott. I tell my friends a different path however. Master Power, Balance 2(+15 toughness!!), Meditate 4, Master Balance. KD can save your life sometimes, the easiest way to switch aggro in my opinion.
