Let me say that I want to be a Jedi eventually.... Now, I just made it to TK novice, or whatever it's called after you get unarmed 4 brawler. I'm working on getting the 125k xp for TKA (am right?) I see there are four more brnaches to work through here. How should I go about it? On Brawler I had started out with pole, got to 2, but then switched to unarmed, so I think I'm a 4-0-0-2.

Should I grind a new Jedi to 90 again since that's all there is to do SOE?

Ok, since you are workign to get xp for TKA, go to dant and kill quenkers till you qualify for TKA. Then you wanna kill even more quenkers till yuo get 0040. after that, just run voritor missions till you get master.. shouldnt take long at all if you are a hardcore grinder ( i grinded tk in a lil under 1.5 days takign it easy) keep in mind to use VK's to grind, even if you arent certed for them

u just grind xp unarmed xp till ur 444x in tk, getting the x number at the end as u can using combat xp, once u have all 4 trees filled out (4444) u have to have apprentice pts to learn master tk which are earned from teaching other people skills, any skills. hope that helped a little bit

So a master is 4444? Wow, this is going to take forever

How long do you figure it'll take me to get there from where I am now?

I was on Dath and found 2 random spawns of gaping spider lairs. I was buffed and had 2 brandies and was getting 4000 unarmed XP per kill. I was not geting scratched at all and i was making around 200,000 - 230,000 per hour. THe spiders just kept coming.

WOOHOO !!

Then what am I doing wrong? Last night I was on Dantooine, took two quenker missions. I got mind and body buffs. Problem is mind buff only gets me 1200 on the blue bar, and then I can only take out one quenker at a time. Three attacked me, I was doing unarmedspin1 which was attacking all of them, but they still kicked my ass. Is it true that once I get to TK Novice grinding will get easier? Maybe I'm overdoing it playing 5+ hours a day for the last 9 days in a row but I'm getting a little discouraged, feeling like I'll never be able to take on anything more then the crap right outside of Mos Eisly :'(

Long story short: TK grinding is the worst, but the payoff is GRAND!

First, you have to have some UBESE armor with about 70% Kenetic Resist. I don't think that was mentioned. You also want to fight "normal" quenkers...the bile-drenched or relic reapers are out of your league.

I personally like Huurtons for the novice grind. Quenkers are good, and give more xp, but are harder to kill.

With a SPEED SLICED VK and UBESE 70% you should easily be able to tank quenkers though. Especially with a good set of buffs. If it's hard, try using some vasarian Brandy also, or nuetron pixie if you really need the extra kick (you should not though)

Just to throw in an extra comment here, as it seems to be your first elite proffesion, don't grind it!

Theres so much to learn about TK (& any proffesion) which you just don't learn from leveling it as fast as you can, just take it easy, go on lots of group hunts, you will still Master quite quickly but you will feel much prouder, you will know more about it & also you won't feel burnt out from the game as quickly.

Just my opinion though.

I'll take that under consideration, I'm already feeling a little worn out from this non-stop grinding. Once I get to TK novice I think I'll drive around a little, see the sights, check out the POIs or somthing. I'm at 70k xp, need 125k for TK novice, can't wait!

First, if you got a mind buff and only had 1200 mind, there is somethign wrong, you need to go and do a stat migrate asap. Pull back enough points to max your mind bar and both secondary stats. Unless you're human then I'm not sure on that because you may use "too many" points for comfort on the secondaries so maybe a human TK can help there, I'm zabrak. I guess you can do what you want with the rest of the points, I maxed out my other secondary stats too and then made the health/action bars equal with what was left. You WILL have to get buffed with this setup to do any real combat or get some serious doc skills. Another thought is to max the mind stuff, pull a lot out of the other secondaries to keep your health/action bars up there and then get some medic so you can use stim C's or something.

Now like the others said, get a set of 70% or so kinetic ubese, a speed sliced VK, and you will be ok. I started going after TK while I was shooting quenkers with pistols one day and I killed them from unarmed 2 all the way up to 0/0/2/1 TK. Once you hit that point you can get into a solo group and kill jantas and mokks but with the payout nerf it's only good for if they're still dropping loot. At 0/0/3/2 the same thing applies on Dathomir you can kill Engraged Rancors if you're careful, but with the payout nerf I'd recommend baz nitches, same XP and easier to kill. You can always just keep doing quenkers though. As far as how to level up I'll just expand a little on what the others said. I'd recommend this progression 0/0/4/x, 0/4/4/x, 4/4/4/x leveling up the last tree as you get the combat xp for it. Then you go get 320 (I think that's the amount)apprenticeship xp....my suggestion is train as many people as you are able to while you're grinding on TK (languages don't count) that way when you hit 4/4/4/4 you can just go jump right into Master.
