Thread: TKM Innate armor VS' armor
Shin-Ryu wrote:I was wondering how can you tell if the tk armor is better than the regular/combatant/comp armor? As a MTK, do I ever have to worry about good armor, Is Innate armor always better than any armor you can get?Thanks,
If you wanna go compare it to player armor, consider your TKM armor to be 6000 resists (to all dmg types across the board, I believe). You can definitely get player armor which has superior resists to certain dmg types. You can get better player armor across the board, but not much, and certainly not enough better to matter much. Then there are armors like RIS.
The armor resist percentages go like this (stolen from AS board)...
1000 = 10.5%
2000 = 20.0%
3000 = 28.5%
4000 = 36.0%
5000 = 42.5%
6000 = 48.0%
7000 = 52.5%
8000 = 56.0%
9000 = 58.5%
10000 = 60%

So only a 12% difference? It might not be worth it to wear alt armor during normal fights, I guess on special occasion where the group is dependant I would use the 250k armor..
Any other comments?
Thanks !

It's going to cost you a lot more than 250K for a set of armor like that...
TKA armor is pretty darn good for general purposes, I'd say. Don't sweat player armor if you're TKA.
How about SEA to increase Innate armor, that would bring some balance to TKM!!!
the problematic part is armorbreak, yeah, INNATE armor can break (and even a force armor)LMFAO..
You can slice armorbreak protection on usual armorthough, a big disadvantage to tk and jedi.
Innate armor is faulty.
The way TK armor should work is it should give you a natural enhanced dense flesh body at 6k. This way you can wear what ever you want. Any non armor-exposed body part will have its natural protection value. This way if you are mixed class, you can wear armor parts to change your look.
Just because you put on a helmet doesn't mean Innate armor should be negated, thats just plain stupid!
I am a Master Pike/Master TK, I want to wear a RIS helmet with my clothes, but I cant, because the helmet negates my Innate armor. STUPID!
