Well, and keep in mind that 10000 resist armor is the hard-cap. But on my server, I've not heard of anyone crafting anything with resists over 8k. And keep in mind that to craft something with 8k resists, you must have lowered resists in something else.

TKA armor is pretty darn good for general purposes, I'd say. Don't sweat player armor if you're TKA.

10000 is not the hard cap for armor. it is just the chart the made to show resists.

Non Layered Armor caps are:

Recon = 7000 E 5000 K 6000 B
Battle = 6000 E 6000 K 6000 B
Assault = 5000 E 7000 K 6000 B

Standard Layered Armor (Energy or Kinetic) max is+1200 on what ever is layeredand brings the other down-1200.

Primus Layered Armor is+600 to each (Energy and Kinetic) and -600 to the base.

So max on a Resist is 8200, not 10000.

Innate armor is classified as natural body protection. Its like having superhero dense flesh. Think of it this way. If Superman put on a armor chest plate and gloves for more protection, his exposed other parts still have the same protection as before. Just becuase he put on armor gloves doesn't mean he lost his other natural body protection.

I am a Master Pike/Master TK, I want to wear a RIS helmet with my clothes, but I cant, because the helmet negates my Innate armor. STUPID!

TKA Innate Armour is NOT 'superhero dense flesh'. It's the ability to fight in a way that minimises damage to yourself, through blocks and good fighting stance. Wearing armour stops you from being so agile and therefore makes you incapable of using TIA.

This sounds more reasonable than superhero dense flesh

I have been away for well over 4 months, i come back to find that we are stuck between using armor and not, what has went wrong? Why cant we just keep using armor like old times, i like the idea of TKA being agile. so naturally they should have good dodge and avoidance, but i think having no armor on is stupid, or not being able to use some armor cos it gets in the way of our so called "innate abilitys" is also very stupid

It's not stupid. Wearing big bulky armor makes it more difficult to move. Our innate armor is SUPPOSED to simulate an avoidance type of armor. We are so graceful and agile that we don't get hit. Either the gaming engine isn't designed to handle that type of combat or the devs just didn't code it that way, but realistically it just functions as another armor type.

Again, if you want to wear another type of armor, you can. Just pick up as a second profession whatever will allow you to wear the armor of your choice, and go for it. You don't always have to be a min/maxer. Sometime you can wear a weaker armor because it fits your RP style or whatever. Just because UberArmor_01 gives you a .0000001% damage reduction over StandardArmor_02 doesn't mean you have to follow the crowd. Just use what you want. You can pretty much make anything in the game work. You just may have to try a little harder.

if you are dueling use armor (unless you are rping) get a good anti amor brake slice ,and kill people , that 75% armor brake reduction will win you more than one fight .just use your secondary profesion's armor
