Thread: A couple bugs with the upcoming patch.

I just wanted to give you guys a status update on a couple of things. I don't really expect any of the bugs on our bug list to be fixed with the next patch, but these three in particular I wanted to address.

The next patch will almost certainly go live before any of our suggestions for FoW are considered by the dev team. I know that the developers have heard our requests, but I haven't heard anything back from them yet. So when the patch goes live, FoW will have a 1 hour timer and a roughly 40% chance of giving you BF whenever you use it. We will keep at them on this one.

I have also not heard anything on the fix for the "KD/get up" bug, so we'll probably have to continue to be patient with that one for a while.

There's also yet another bug with Power Boost on TC. When you do a special after having used PB, you somehow reduce the total boost you received from PB. So let's say you buff 500 points to each of your HAM bar max levels with PB. After a few specials, your max boost levels may have shrunk to 470/385/432, or something else totally random like that. You can actually totally eliminate your PB bonus by using specials to decrease the PB bonuses you get. You can re-apply PB as normal after the effects wear off.

So FoW, Knockdown, and PB will all be a bit messed up on the next patch. The reason I'm bringing these up here is that these bugs are particularly annoying, and I want to assure you guys that they are known problems. Yeah, dealing with these after the patch is going to be really lame for a while, especially the FoW change and PB bugs, but we'll keep the issues at the top of their minds and I'm certain they'll be addressed.

Of course, I'll keep you guys up to date with any information I get.

Thanks Heavy.....appreciate the heads up sinces I refuse to make a TKA on TC until character copy happens....I really would like to avoid going up unarmed again and because of the low number of occupants...getting wounds healed at the lower levels is problematic.

Personally timer is going to ruin this skill for me. I get incapped so often due to mind getting low from reviving people in hot zones( My other skill is Master Doctor). FoW is themain thing that allowed me to survive long enough to keep everyone else alive. It will be other people in the groups with me that suffer because of the timer not just me. Even with a 15 minute timer it will be useless, with no timer 3 incaps in 10 minutes is auto death anyways. All timer will do is prevent you from having a second chance to avoid a deathblow, especially if it had failed to work the first time.

I can live with the Battle Fatigue, so I have to see an entertainer more than once every4 days, not that big of an issue. I dont usually get it healed till it gets to 300+ anyways, only really effects my doctor skills.

So they managed to break powerboost after they finally fixed it. So now does that mean than powerboost can join the food and spice buffs in the bug list.

So why not ask them to not patch us instead of having buggy code go live. Have them take the time to fix it right instead of busting up something that is working like pb.

Yeah, nobody is happy with the changes to FoW. I've told them that the timer has to change, and raised lots of other points as well. I haven't heard anything back yet, but I'll certainly let everyone know how things progress.

Believe me, if I could just say the word and have them fix us, I'd have done it by now

What were those words again... Klaatu, Verata, Nic..

"yeah, we know we're gonna break it. we'll fix it later... if we have time."

what a half assed attitude the devs have sometimes.

that power boost bug is going to be bad, doesn't everyone spam specials at master?

And does the FOW timer reset when slayed/DB?

To my knowledge, the devs were trying to improve FoW when they made the changes they did. Having your HAM equalized, rather than nulified will be really nice, but the timer and BF are way off scale. They just went too far in their efforts to ensure that the skill would not be too powerful. Once we can get the devs to understand this point, I think they'll be open to our suggestions.

Also, I'm 99.9% sure that the PB bug is a bug and not some twisted new feature. The skill would be rendered largely useless if it was set up that way. I have to believe they wouldn't do that without at least mentioning it.

And yes, the 1 hour timer does reset upon death. At least, that's what they've told me, I have not personally tested the death reset.

Well, that's a big fat pity. The three special abilities that define the class will be broken.

That Powerboost bug is really really going to hurt.

I use powerboost to make my rifle specials not kill me, then I can switch to tka and finish off a whole nest of yellow cons in one sweep (2 of em bleed to death and my TKA skills let me kill the other 2-3 easy).
