Thread: tka versus real martial arts

Now i'm a martial artist in real life, and so far tka is in no way realistic. First off, we should not have vk's, unarmed means exactly that. Secondly, our damage against unarmored opponents should be god-like. There are so many places on the human body that react quite violently when hit hard, and by violently i mean you die. Good martial artists can kill people inone strike, and in more than a few ways. Secondly, good martial artists are almost un-hittable. Watching two 5th tier martial artists fight is an amazing experience. A blur of motion for 5 minutes straight, and both fighters are untouched. Third, there are styles of martial arts that are based ENTIRELY off of counterattack, can we say aikido anyone? And third, there are martial artists you could come at with a sword, knife, 8 foot stick, gun, whatever, it doesnt matter, because they will disarm and destroy you. I know, because we tried that on our sensei once, not one person hit him with anything, including a pellet gun. Fourth, what is with 100 resists to kinetic? I know a guy who can put 250 pounds of force into a 2 inch square box, consistently. repeatedly, on command. now are you telling me that someone could put that into an npc's larnyx with NO effect? give me a break. And finally, there are martial artists who can hit a stack of bricks that is 7 bricks tall, and ONLY break the BOTTOM brick. Now if that isnt armor peircing I dont know what is. Teras kasi should take more skill points, and it should be a great proffession against players.
Ug another one of these...
Our damage against someone without armor is god like duel a guildee without armor buffed and unbuffed..
Everyone knows TKA dodge isnt what it needs to be except you apparently
Get TKM if you dont have it already and duel another TKM buffed no armor or even a fencer and tell me that the fight doesnt take a few minutes....
Things that are 100% Kineticlike Elders are force sensitive just tank it and have a rifleman/cm with you..
YOu claim your a martial artist in real life, well this isnt real life bud learn your profession

Thats true this isnt real life, lets go ahead and get rid of gravity, oh and physics, screw physics we dont need any of that because this is a video game.

Why does it have to be one extreme or the other? Why be 100% total realism or else 0% realism? Let's see our options here.
100% realism
- Your martial artist rules and can do the death palm
- You get shot in the head, you die 98% of the time and create a new character.
- You have to spend 1/3 of your in-game time sleeping.
- You also have to eat and use the bathroom.
- Oh yeah....no hyperspace or laser guns. I guess the whole game would take place on Earth, too.
0% realism
- No gravity!
- No physics!
Happy blend of realism and fantasy
- Every video game ever
