Teras Kasi Archive
Thread: Er what's this crap about Teras Kasi Unarmed experience being hard to get?
I have 2 characters, 1 a Master Ranger/Rifleman/Creature Handler and my Teras Kasi/Doctor.
Speaking about the combat related XP, i.e. rifle, unarmed, pistol etc, I get very fast Unarmed XP. Doing Huurton Stalker's I made over 450k in about 5 hours yesterday. My Rfileman never makes that kind of XP. By my estimation I will be TK Master in about 6 days depending on my children allowing me time to play
That will be just over 2 weeks from Brawler Novice with no Unarmed XP to Teras Kasi Master.
To be honest the hardest part for me was getting the 125k at Unarmed IV to make TKA. That was a real chore even with nice speed sliced VKs.
I am finding TKA a very easy XP grind to make the experience. Though I must say it's also much more enjoyable than doing rifle XP.
I had just trained Power Techniques 1 before I went to Dathomir yesterday. 3 hours later I had to shuttle back to Kor Vella to train, since I was 13k from the 500k xp cap.
Bolma missions and raiding the Nightsister Camp with a group.
Raspi,
If you were buffed ( I assume you were ), well...of course unarmed xp comes faster ![]()
I had the same thought than you when I piked up novice marksman and started shotting stuff that I couldn't handleas a brawler.
The fact is, if you are a hardcore gamer, any of the prof. are easy to grind for XP..if you:
1. Know the game already and what missions to take
2. Have that kinda time on your hands
3. Know enough to supplement your class with doctor buffs or good CH skills for pets tank for you.
I think when most ppl say unarmed XP is hard, they are referring to brawler up novice TKA. Which is where the real grind is. Once you hit novice TKA, XP goes pretty fast. I myself am going to hit master this weekend only playing about 2 hours weeknights then on weekends. And, I made TKA Novice exactly 2 weeks ago.
My only problem is getting apprentice XP =(

Unarmed xp as a TK is far faster than any of the other classes I have seen with the possible exception of heavy weapons xp for a commando. It truly is. When comparing my xp to groupmates, I can generally get a multiplier of 2 or more. I let my duoing partner kill lairs to make up for what an xp sponge I am.You don't need vast sums of game knowledge, vast sums of time, or doctor buffs (none of the above three am I privvy to), Unarmed xp jsut flies. It's as simple as that. When fledgling unarmed folks and TK novices ask me on tips to getting unarmed xp I just tell them, 'punch stuff. don't worry it'll come like a flood.'
Now don't get me wrong, I think it makes sense. We dont get uber weapons with which to up our damage and effectiveness (higher armor pens and dam numbers, etc) and we don't get bleeds (possibly one of the most powerful attacks in the game). It makes sense that we can reach our full potential quickly.
My Kingdom for a Bleed attack!

yes and no, unarmed exp is the hardest exp to get in the game besides one kind. That is investigation exp. other then thnat unarmed is the elite of elite exp.
why is this? because novis to novis is about as hard as leveling all of master marksman, and the auctualy tk trees are harder, because the TK doesn't start to be any good tell much later on down the path. the swordsman can crank out exp from novis, the riffleman can crank out exp at novis, but the tk can't.
if your saying that you get unarmed exp easy, then if you were rifflemen in the same situation, it would be even more easy. rifflemen was the 2nd easiest profession i tried.
the easiest profession probably ive seen is creature handler. just plain too easy for the power you get.
let me recap. unarmed exp=hard mode
riffle exp=medium mode
creature handler exp= easy mode
let me recap. unarmed exp=hard mode
riffle exp=medium mode
creature handler exp= easy mode
Let me recap.
CH work four tree's of exp each tree requires the same type of exp. As to where other combat professions can work usually two tree's at one time (e.g. rifle exp and combat exp). CH gets minimal exp compared to other combat professions (e.g. doing stalkers on Dantooine I get 4k unarmed and 1k CH with two pets). That's over two times as much unarmed exp to CH exp. I think your easy/hard/medium list may need to be updated a bit. But who know's.

Master TKA - CH 4/4/3/4 - Medic 4/3/4/0
Hmm going to have to preview this one .. **edit** boards!
Think thats better. ![]()

ya think so?
sunday I had exploration 4, and 0 hunting. wensday i had master CH, plus i worked and had school this week. rofl CH is nothing but easy, if your doing ch wrong then maybe you might disagree.
Yesterday a guild mate of mine wanted to do CH, so i took her out and we worked on her exploration and hunting. in about 2 hours time we had her novis CH. in another 5 hours we had her 3/2/1/0
I remember doing TK grind, and perhaps its gotten easier now, but back when i did it it literly took a week or two weeks to hit novis TK, then another 3 weeks useing exploits to lvl to master. if i had simply leveled tk in a group or what not, it would taken me mover a month easily.
now tks have power boost, that helps lower down time to some degree, most TKs are somthing else first, CH, or doctor, or medic.
the person who starts up TK first w/o a profession to aid them will struggle, and that is just the facts of life.
Yes, but CH levels come at much lower xp levels....27K, 54K, etc
Unarmed comes at 150K, 250K, etc
It really doesnt matter what the exact ratio of unarmed to ch is. Its the experience relative to the level required that matters. Unarmed may get 4k a creature, but if thats only 1% of their level thats 100 creatures to kill. If ch get 1k a creature and its 2% of their level thats only 50 kills.
And for the guy who said his problem was apprenticeship xp...I had maxed out my apprenticeship by the time i reached novice TKA, and then when I mastered medic I had it maxed outAGAINby the time I had gained one skill in TKA.
