Thread: Can some one see if this is happening to you to please

Hi im master TK and i was fighting a Jedi today in pvp and noticed my inate armor was not absorbing crap . i wasadvanced saberbroke which i think is a 65% armor debuff but i got hit for 1265 and only absorb 215 points i had cob runing also . Now im not good at math but the way i figured it this was a 80% debuff to my armor did i do my math totaly wrong or is something buggy with this damage VS absorbtion in this fight . Also has anyone else had this problem I thought TK inate armor was 6000 restance versus every thing inclueding secondary effects such as acid and stuff ? any and all help is much appr. incase its just my math or my toon that is buggy.

What clothing do you have equipped? Black Sun Ace Helmet, Tusken Robe? Certain pieces of clothing/helmets actually cancel out the Innate Armor, I might be mistaken but from what I've read so far it seems like just about every helmet cancels it, well maybe not every but over 50% of them.

iat armour works fine i was at the geo lab and my freind had padded armour 5500 and he got hit 120 i got hit 110 so you do the math harkarmar

Well let's see:

Innate armor base = 48%
Armor break cutting that by 65% = cutting it by 31 percentage points (0.65 * 48% = 31% gets broken). 48 - 31 = 17% armor left.

You were hit for 1265, so 17% armor should have absorbed 0.17 * 1265 = 215.

Looks right to me.

it is quite weird... fighting normal players with advanced armor break, it all works out fine, but with a jedi, i absorb 120 out of 1226? Thats not right... something is wrong here.

I fight regular players with capped speed, higher damage weapons than jedi lightsabers, and armor. the jedi have no armor, worse damage weapons, and yet they seem to beat the crap out of us. i understand theyre jedi and should beat us, but when my TK armor doesnt work worth a crap vs jedi, i should wonder a little.

Most likely he/she/it know's how to use his/her/it's skills, if you link certain specials together in the right way, they work wonderfully. Rem this is not a npc, that does the same thing over and over and over and over again.

My first thoughts were: They fixes elemental damage in pub 19. Lightsabers do elemental damage. Innate Armor doesn't protect against elemental damage?


Numbers seem a bit high though, even for no protection against elemental damage.

If you read the SOE/Lucas Arts Prima Strategy guide for SWG, it states to the point that TK is the deadlist in melee and ranged combat. "To take down his or her enemies with minimum of effort."

Jedi is an alpha-class that has no place in a RPG game where power gamers would flock to a 1.5x stronger profession.

Yes, Jedi are deadly and powerful, but they are not gods! A Master Commando from 80 meters away firing a high exspolsive rocket at the head of a Jedi should equal...POOF!

so a master commando should be able to 1-shot anyone in the game? k. That's balance, huh?

Jedi have innate armor just like tkms. Saber AB worked as advertised. Get shot by Advanced Sniper Shot after an armor break and come complain lol.
